Stevie Denny Art: February 2015
http://steviedennyart.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. Color Riot, 12x4 oil painting. This isn't what I was going to paint today, but when I went to the market and saw all these bright colors, I grabbed the bouquet and decided to paint it instead. These daisies are so brightly colored - how do they do that? It must be dye, because soon after I put the daisies in a vase, the water turned pink! This is painted on a deep-edge canvas, so no need to frame. This painting is available for purchase on Daily Paintworks. Just click this link.

Wednesday, December 11, 2013. 6x6 inch oil on archival canvas panel. Click here to buy this painting. Painting #2 in my on going series "Airstreams". I found this one buried in the snow on my way to visit Scott Christensen's. Studio and gallery in Driggs, Idaho. Obviously it's been out of service for a while. I loved the colors - a bit different and probably some other brand and not an airstream but it was too cool - I had to paint it! 169; 2013 RobinJohnsonFineArt. Robin Johnson Fine Art. As I plan to soon enroll in ceramics again, at the local University, I've tried to paint as much as time permits. Now if I could get in the class, maybe my paintings will stop for a while. We'll just see. Here my work was done from The Rookie Painter. Challenge photo. This is the first time I ever painted strawberries and I'm quite pleased with them. Jan 12, 2012, 9:40:00 AM. Monday, 11 August 2008. Out in the Boonies. Oil on board 10*12. Oil on Board 8*10. I painted this when we went camping the other day, I should have waited for another couple of hours to have painted it, then I would have had better light so by the time I had finished painting the light had changed so much. I know for next time. Monday, 4 August 2008. Oil on Gessoed board 8*10. And this happened about 6 or 7 times. so I just sat in the van side door and it flew away after that. Saturday, 16 November 2013. Oil on Board 8*10. Golden Light at the Fishcreek Park. Fishcreek park and its shadows, I liked the Shadows and the shapes of the tree branches. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am always surprised by the outcome as it it never turns out the way that I think it would. I'm trying to figure out how to paint and I have studied with Jerry Markham and Doug Swinton, local artists here in Calgary, Canada. I'm getting there it's taking longer than I thought. Millie's Vision of Art: The Lacemaker
http://millienguyen6.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-lacemaker.html
Millie's Vision of Art. Welcome to My Page. Thursday, December 6, 2012. Arches CP 300lb WC paper. Done for the PADT. I have not painted humans for quite a while, so indeed it was a long process and quite a challenge to do a copy of Vermeer's The Lacemaker. I made a mistake of using untested permanently staining (bright yellow) color and as a result, I lost my "white" for highlight on her collar. Nonetheless, I'm quite satisfied in the end to have this lacemaker painting to call my own. Loved it. :).
