http://pslittleworld.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A little biography of books, boys and God's graces in my life. Thursday, February 26, 2015. The sun is struggling through the grey skies this morning. Our February has been unseasonably warm and bright. I am thankful for the sunshine, always. While I don't at all feel that my heart and hands are out of practice (I may be surprised yet) our home has slowly morphed into the home of pre-teen and teenage boys. We still have work to do around here, but it's coming along. The house has been quiet but I hear st...

At the Drawing Pad: Presidents, Class of 2010
http://atthedrawingpad.blogspot.com/2010/03/presidents-class-of-2010.html
At the Drawing Pad. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Presidents, Class of 2010. I was stunned this year by my youngest class of 7-9 year olds. After 7 lessons they were asked to do these portraits of Abraham Lincoln. The older kids got their choice of a few other presidents, and some of them chose charcoal. Amazing! A woman who is. Great work. take care, paul. (canada). May 21, 2010 at 2:31 AM. Thoughts on Life and Millinery. May 17, 2011 at 5:47 PM. 7 to 9 year olds? May 14, 2014 at 2:13 PM. A Woman Who is.

A Thousand Words: Boys' Noise School 2009-2010
http://pslittleworld.blogspot.com/p/boys-noise-school-2009-2010.html
A little biography of books, boys and God's graces in my life. Boys' Noise School 2009-2010. Nathan is a hands-on active little boy who wasn't the least bit interested in school last year. He'd rather be out climbing trees or playing with his stuffed animals, so I let him. After all, what use is preschool to a child who would like the world to be their teacher? I find that Nate does well working in short spurts and thrives off quality rather than quantity work. Classical Conversations Cycle 1. Linguistic...

A Thousand Words: Our Homeschool Journey
http://pslittleworld.blogspot.com/p/our-homeschool-journey.html
A little biography of books, boys and God's graces in my life. M not sure when or why I started thinking about home schooling my boys. Maybe it was the sweet teenage girl I met when my oldest was just a baby. Something about her was so genuine and interested. She conversed easily and looked me in the eye.she was home schoooled. I took note. Should I be "relieved" of the duty of teaching my boys about book work, character, mannerisms, social life? Why should I turn over this work to someone else? Now my y...

A Thousand Words: Fairy Seeds
http://pslittleworld.blogspot.com/2011/11/fairy-seeds.html
A little biography of books, boys and God's graces in my life. Sunday, November 27, 2011. Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex.it takes a touch of genius- and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction. Back to the river for another peek at those fairy seed pods we found yesterday. Showy Milkweed, to be exact! I believe these are seed pods from an Acacia tree. Anyone know? Really, aren't they dreamy? Who dares to teach must never cease to learn. -John Cotton Dana. LEGO hea...

A Thousand Words: a break in Spring
http://pslittleworld.blogspot.com/2014/03/a-break-in-spring.html
A little biography of books, boys and God's graces in my life. Sunday, March 30, 2014. A break in Spring. Every year I look forward to this season, we have wrapped up our year of Classical Conversations community days and we are left to our own selves to finish up the school year. We love our Classical Conversations group! Did you know that verbs have moods? Anyhow, as much as we love CC I'm relieved to have a shift in schedule and some time to beef up on Challenge A things for Joey's class next year.
