The Mid-America Mural Project: June 2013
http://midamericamuralproject.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
The Mid-America Mural Project. Lead Artist Dave Loewenstein. Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Mural Dedication and Celebration. Projecting the design and community painting in East Waco. Before painting could begin we had to transfer the design to the wall. A long night of orienting the projector, tinkering with the computer and swatting mosquitos gave us the first glimpse of the design at full scale. A bunch of our design team showed up to see how the process worked and give encouragement. During presentations...

Metromorphosis: WACO: February 2010
http://newaco.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
From its own ashes, a new phoenix arises! Saturday, February 27, 2010. Cameron Park v2.0. There's been some great discussion. Surrounding the $25,000. NEA grant being used for a Patrick Dougherty stickwork. Installation in Cameron Park. Unfortunately, most commenters seem to agree that it's a big waste of money to pay for essentially a big brush pile. That may only last 5 years, anyways. Sadly, I have to concur. This does not seem to be a wise choice. Another idea that would complement a giant metal scul...

From its own ashes, a new phoenix arises! Wednesday, March 3, 2010. This is a rapidly-developing area where Hwy 6 S intersects IH-35. Spots have filled up fast over the last few years, but there is still room left to grow. This is actually prime real estate at a high-traffic intersection that is already surrounded by an outdoor mall, numerous auto dealerships and a new hospital. It is also located closer to the wealthier suburbs in South Waco. Existing and Proposed Attractions. Posted by New Waco. Brad W...

Metromorphosis: WACO: Waco On The Waterfront
http://newaco.blogspot.com/2009/11/waco-on-waterfront.html
From its own ashes, a new phoenix arises! Sunday, November 8, 2009. Waco On The Waterfront. There are essentially 3 underdeveloped quadrants along the banks of the Brazos river on either side of IH-35. Which would be prime real estate for redevelopment due to its high visibility and the constant heavy traffic along IH-35. In addition, there is currently also another great new center of development at the Central Texas Marketplace. So is Waco finally ready to revitalize, beautify and redefine itself?

Images with an old, tintype look are coming back in style thanks to some new apps. I combined the trend with my favorite collections of old cameras. This summer I discovered the beauty of San Francisco's architecture while on a family vacation. To challenge myself, I set a goal to photograph some of these elusive creatures.
