Friday, August 07, 2009. Back by popular demand, I'm taking sign-ups now on A Year of Color blog for the annual Sweet and Sinister swap (see blog for details). If you're not in A Year of Color, but want to be in the swap, sign up for it here. All my swaps this year are through the YOC blog, so you must be a member to join the swap. In other news, the first sunflower has reared it's glorious head! With another one on the way. Has been working hard! She also made the Sweet and Sinister button above. Your s...

ArtsyMama: July 2011
http://artsymama.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 28, 2011. I haven't been to the farmer's market since early summer. With lots of rain, sun and hot weather the veggies were abundant and the flowers were gorgeous. What a feast! Labels: good to eat. Raptors in our midst. Yesterday the kids and I headed to the library where I work for a program put on by the Raptor Center of Minnesota. There was a red tailed hawk, kestrel, great horned owl and bald eagle in attendance. What amazing birds and so fun to see them up close! Monday, July 18, 2011.

ArtsyMama: February 2011
http://artsymama.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 28, 2011. We are getting through this winter, arent' we? You wouldn't know it here, waking up to single digit temps. However, taking the dog on a walk this morning, I could feel so much more warmth from the sun as it beat down. Through this work and the projects that I'm doing in Ali Edward's. Yesterday and Today class, I am reminded that THIS IS IT. This blog has always been about experiencing my life, not just waiting for what's to come. Not rushing to get going on the next thing&#...

ArtsyMama: March 2011
http://artsymama.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. Today is the first day of spring break for my kids. Luckily it was the first day that. Felt like spring around here. It hit the mid-40's. A big deal here in Minnesota! We first brightened up the house a little bit with some spring color. Then the kids opened a play doh bake shop. By afternoon it was finally warm enough to bring out the sidewalk chalk. They have literally been looking forward to this for months! A hop scoth board was immediately drawn and put to good use. Made th...

ArtsyMama: January 2011
http://artsymama.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 28, 2011. Don't we all need a little party on these cold, grey January days? I seem to have some good estate sale mojo lately, especially in the party supply department. For those that have read this blog for awhile, you may know I'm a huge fan of vintage party supplies. Finding a huge box in the basement of a sale filled with treasures like those below completely blew me away! This is about a quarter of what was in the box. I also have lots. Glad you guys are enjoying all the goodies.

ArtsyMama: June 2011
http://artsymama.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 30, 2011. We've been celebrating the mid-point of the year today with all things summer: fresh strawberry smoothies, corn on the cob and a nap in the hammock. After reading through the latest issue of whole living. Magazine, there was an article about mid-year being a good time to re-visit your resolutions, review your progress and rev yourself up for the rest of the year. The book Let Your Life Speak. I must listen to my life and try to understand what it is truly about.". And to the zoo.

Wednesday, December 07, 2011. All good things must end. A photo a day until the end of the year. I do plan to continue to archive each post of this blog and you'll find the topics on the right side bar. Life changes, whether we want it to or not. Children grow up. I am going to stop, take a deep breath and embrace whatever it is that comes next. Thank you. Tuesday, December 06, 2011. The kids woke up to an extra special treat this morning. Last night I told them the legend of St. Nicholas. We woke up to ...

ArtsyMama: April 2011
http://artsymama.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 30, 2011. Cool and rainy week here. Chloe was very anxious to get our garden started, so we got some seeds and started them indoors. Within a few days in the front window they looked like this! Finally this weekend the rain broke and we had some much needed sun! We went for a walk in the woods to celebrate the end of the wonderful month of April. We saw lots of new growth and some nests. Can't wait for all the blooms of May! Sunday, April 24, 2011. We found the perfect picture spot! The n...

ArtsyMama: May 2011
http://artsymama.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 31, 2011. A dose of green. I love visiting nurseries this time of year. All that lush green foliage with gorgeous blossoms. Such an inspiring and creative place. I love to see what colors they put together and what combinations they put into their baskets and displays. Nature's Harvest is one of my go-to spots for inspiration and a quick stop before a breakfast date this morning certainly didn't disappoint. Monday, May 23, 2011. This weekend we had a visitor, a mother wood duck and her brood...
