A Little About Me. Sewing, craftiness, baking… and a bit about me. May 3, 2012. The Month of May. 🙂 It will be fun though, I’m sure! Matt finished up the laminate flooring last week, and it looks AWESOME in here! Before, the carpet and linoleum lined up exactly with were the two trailers would have been joined together (we live in a double-wide trailer, in a community that is not a trailer park! So yay for home-ownership, and yay for property tax? It still looks great though! Now I just need to decorate!

(twelve) dresses: (twelve) dresses project
http://www.twelvedressesblog.com/p/finished-product-gallery.html
The former sewing table. That's where the magic happened! Here's a mad recap of my attempt to make a dress a month for a year and blog about it. I made it to only nine dresses, but I wouldn't say I failed. More that I moved across country and fell off the bandwagon. It was a fun time, and I got some fun recognition from The Budget Fashionista. And a plushie fetish site (which I will not link too, but I assure you they did enjoy pictures of me in my dinosaur costume. Duh And a baby on the way. Hope you'll...

A blog about beginner wardrobe sewing. Friday, September 3, 2010. We are taking two weeks to travel around western Europe and the UK. I'm so excited! If anyone has any fabric store recommendations for Barcelona, Milan, Geneva, London or Paris, please let me know. Or just general recommendations would be great too! When I return I'm going to start working on some fall wardrobe pieces so hopefully I find some goodies on my trip :). Friday, September 03, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Motion to Stitch: August 2011
http://www.motiontostitch.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Me v The Working World. I would consider myself somewhat employed. It's not an ideal position and it isn't full time and it doesn't even pay well, but.I can put it on my resume and it's more money than I was making yesterday. The kicker. In my eyes he needed to get back to work the day he was offered the job. In hindsight, I totally feel this. I want a week off to prepare for my impending employment. Maybe next time I shouldn't be so quick to judge, right? I finished the mei t...

Motion to Stitch: January 2012
http://www.motiontostitch.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Me v Biggest Sewing Adventure. I may have mentioned this before, but I have been commissioned to sew a boys suit for my nephew. Let me clarify- a gold suit for an almost-7 year old boy. I'm a bit nervous about it. I like to think I'm a decent seamstress, but making a suit may be beyond my capabilities. I'm going to give it the good 'ole college try though. This is the pattern I'm making:. Nowto get over my sickness and get started on this project. Monday, January 2, 2012.

Motion to Stitch: Me v. The Job Hunt
http://www.motiontostitch.com/2012/03/me-v-job-hunt.html
Monday, March 26, 2012. Me v The Job Hunt. I know I've written about this before and you probably don't really want to read about it anymore, as it's old news, but.I'm still looking for a job. And.this sucks. My temporary, part-time job has really turned into more full time, but I'm still in limbo with them and just not sure how things will shake out there. I like what I do, but is it what I want to do for the rest of my career? Time will tell.until then, I continue to job hunt.whomp, whomp, whomp.

Motion to Stitch: Me v. The Suit

Monday, February 13, 2012. Me v The Suit. So, I've started the suit and am about 75% of the way through. But.I'm frustrated as all get out and ready to quit. The collar and the zipper in the pants are killing me! Seriously, I just want to make it an elastic waistband and a collarless jacket- they're in, right? My nephew could start a trend! I will get it done. Hopefully I'll have pictures of him in it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. There was an error in this gadget.

Saturday, July 28, 2012. Me v Not Blogging for a Long Time. Sorry about the hiatus. I've been busy and not in a blogging mood lately. Time for updates though:. It's nice to have someone who knows what I'm going through to talk to. So, that pretty much sums up my life over the last few months. Nothing too exciting. Highs and lows. Below are a few pictures of the 90th birthday and family reunion. The family climbing Harney Peak, highest point east of the Rocky Mountains until you reach the Pyrenees.

Also, got a bit of my sewing mojo back and made another baby carrier for another friend that had a baby. I put Littlest Buddy in it to try it out- he LOVED it! I may have to make one just for him. Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Me v Passing the bar exam. I found out on Friday. WOOHOO! Now, if only I could find a job.

Motion to Stitch: December 2011
http://www.motiontostitch.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 30, 2011. On the eve of 2011 eve, I thought I'd do some reflecting on the past year. It's definitely been a year to say the least. The year started off partying with my brother-in-law and his wife having a great time. I still had a semester left in school, and was just beginning the long journey to pass the bar exam. Then came graduation. YAY! I graduated from law school! Such a proud moment! Mom and Dad Stitches and me. Then came an agonizing three months of waiting on bar results. ...
