I've always admired the sponge: a colony that is greater than the sum of its individual parts, that can be still, filter and absorb that which is nourishing from its environment, then spits it's semen into the current. Surgery Is My Friend. Apr 22nd, 2009 at 9:50 PM. So tomorrow (Thurs. 4-23) at around 11, I am checking in for surgery. I will have an endoscopic procedure to correct a diverticulum in my esophagus. This is going to be a huge relief for me, as this thing has been making eating uncomfortable, and disrupting my sleep badly. Then, there will be soft food, and pain killers, and decreasing loopiness and increasing dietary freedom. And sleep, precious un-interrupted sleep. Hugs to you all! Hugs back at you!
