Cam and the city. Sunday, November 28, 2004. I am directionally gifted. (Though perhaps not so humble). I can easily follow directions and navigate to my destination. There are the occasional wrong turns, but I quickly find my way again. Once I've been to a place, I can rely on memory to get there again. I am currently living back in the area where I grew up. I know how to get around here. Except for one loop that goes around the city. If I have to get on that loop, I will get lost. I hate that loop.

Cam and the city. Thursday, April 28, 2005. I don't like asking people for help. In other words, I'm stubborn and have way too much pride. I've been this way for a long time. I can remember working at a camp one summer and refusing all efforts of help as I worked to scrub 20 pots and pans clean. Or I'll be carrying something heavy, yet I'll tell people I don't need any help carrying the object that is about to drop out of my hands. Why do I confess this struggle? But what about the rest of the time?

Cam and the city. Tuesday, December 28, 2004. The end of the world. While I was opening Christmas presents, tragedy struck on the other side of the world. When I first heard the news of the tsunami in Asia, I didn't believe it. My sister's boyfriend told her on the phone. I thought he was exaggerating the details. I told my sister that such an event must be a sign of the end of the world. But then I saw the newspaper on Monday morning and it was horrible. Posted by i am cam at 10:00 PM. I worry too much.
