An awesome ad from CCM. – Learn to Skate with Nate
https://skatewithnate.wordpress.com/2015/03/30/an-awesome-ad-from-ccm
Learn to Skate with Nate. An awesome ad from CCM. CCM is my go-to equipment brand. I don’t have any real reason to like it over another brand like, say, Bauer or Easton, except that CCM skates and helmets fit me better than other brands. Which is a pretty good reason. CCM is a part of hockey’s history, and this motion ad really highlights that fact. Check it out below. Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window). Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). Baking your skates when they’re brand new can be a way to speed up this process and alleviate some of the pain involved. If you bought a new pair of ice skates, and you’re finding it difficult to break them in, stop into a store like Non-Stop Hockey. The Ice Vault Pro Shop. If you’d ...

What kind of skates should I wear? – Learn to Skate with Nate
https://skatewithnate.wordpress.com/2015/03/16/what-kind-of-skates-should-i-wear
Learn to Skate with Nate. What kind of skates should I wear? Most ice rinks that open their doors to public skaters carry both figure skates and hockey skates, so when you rent a pair of skates, you’re met with a choice when you get to the rental window: figure skates or hockey skates? When I was a little kid, the answer seemed like a no-brainer: hockey skates were for boys, and figure skates were for girls. If only it were truly that simple. The longer blade on a figure skate features a tail at the heel...

Ready to buy some hockey skates? – Learn to Skate with Nate
https://skatewithnate.wordpress.com/2015/03/23/ready-to-buy-some-hockey-skates
Learn to Skate with Nate. Ready to buy some hockey skates? Before I talk about buying skates, I want to make mention of the fact that I don’t recommend buying your own skates until you’ve developed a little bit of competency on the ice. When you know that ice skating is something you want to invest in, then it’s worth it. Don’t buy a pair of skates only to let them sit in your closet until the winter comes around. Am I getting what I pay for? This is a pair of real hockey skates. A good pair of beginner ...
