A place to empty my head…. I’m learning →. A friend suggested that sometimes we need a day eraser – she’s right! Why did yesterday turn out to be so tense and tiring? Was it because of the way I handled things? I decided that I would tell him after our morning school work. Of course he couldn’t concentrate, and was grumpy. Or course. Surprises don’t work for him, and after school work, while technically still morning, was not what he was expecting to be morning. And that rolled into the rest of the day.

A place to empty my head…. Don’t mention the “S” word! Sleep is a big issue for our boy, or lack of it would be more accurate. After 3 nights of taking it the boy slept for 11 hours straight! Now, I suspect that is in part due to the fact that he had two events over the weekend that would have been exhausting (crowds, unknown people and houses), however the next night he slept for 9 hours. After we had more tears. “Thank you for being my mum and understanding me”. It breaks your heart sometimes. I’ve tried and we’ve battled, and sometimes – when the reward has been enticing enough – the chores etc get done. There is a great build up of emotion as we get nearer to the target, the target is achieved and the reward received and BOOM!
