Will has done a number of mini projects, but they were all essential for us to function in our home (non-working outlets/light sockets, leaking pipes, etc) so this was our first fun project. Did I paint all the rooms the same color? Did I paint them coordinating neutral colors? Since we were flipping dare I paint them a color I actually like, but might not be helpful for resale? And it worked out!

Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Friday night I decided that we would have stromboli because it sounded good, but I wasn't sure what kind we would have. I looked in the fridge and saw the sauerkraut I'd purchased recently and got an idea. I was going to make Reuben Stromboli! 2 1/2 to 3 C all-purpose or bread flour. 1 Package yeast (or 2 1/4 tsp). 3 Tbsp olive or vegetable oil. 1 C very warm water (120 to 130 degrees F). When it's done follow the instructions in the above paragraph! 1 lb sliced corned beef.

Monday, June 11, 2012. Bills, Bills, and More Bills! It has been absolutely ages since I last posted. I thought for sure that I would become a posting fiend once I started staying home with my little guy. Pfft that is certainly not the case. This whole mom thing takes up a lot of time and energy! Long hours, sleepless nights, well not really the whole sleepless nights thing because I have a sleeping champ who sleeps 10 hours each night, but definitely hard work that can't be constrained to a 9-5 job :-).

Thursday, February 21, 2013. So I picked up an eye shadow smudging brush, a four-pack of coordinating eye shadow, and some eye shadow primer for $4 total. Um yeah, I can handle that! So I got home, waited for my little man to go down for a nap and I got to work trying to imitate a "smoky" look I'd seen on Pinterest. And, I failed. Miserably. Instead of "smoky" I somehow ended up with "racoon". Oh well, practice makes perfect so they say! Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Hmmm, what's that? I almost got it!

One of the last things "oak" to go in our house was in the laundry room. Here is what it looked like when we moved in:. Mid-Summer progress.laundry day.
