My "RobServatory" (OK it is a silly name but my wife and kids get a kick out of it! One day while at our local Sam's Club, I saw a backyard utility shed that looked interesting. The shed I looked at and eventually bought is called the "Smart Shed Deluxe" made by " Thinking Outside. It is 11' L x 7' W x 6' 7" H and costs $800. It is very simple in its design and it seemed that with a little tweaking I could make it into a decent observatory. Click for a larger image. 169; 2005-2011 Robert Cook StudioC.

All of the Deep Space Object (DSO) images below were taken with my SBig ST7 CCD camera (see the Equipment. Pages). Except for one of the lunar images, the other images were taken with a Meade Lunar Planetary Imager (LPI) or using a Nikon CoolPix 5000 digital camera thru Eyepiece Projection. All images were taken and/or processed using a combination of the following software: MaxIM DL CCD. Click the image to see a larger picture.
