Baseball Knitter: Pretty things
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2008/03/pretty-things.html
Tuesday, March 04, 2008. I finished an Amanda Hat. To match the Scrunchable Scarf. I cast on March 1 for a KAL on Ravelry and finished on March 2. It's a sweet hat and I plan to give it to my sister in law along with the scarf for Christmas. Jared wasn't too thrilled with being my latest hat model but he obliged. Odysseus was much more willing to model the hat in progress. If you can stand one more pretty picture in this post please scroll down. Can you even believe it? Subscribe to: Comment Feed (RSS).

Baseball Knitter: May 2007
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 30, 2007. Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly. This morning while the boys were doing their schoolwork, I saw this butterfly flying around the azalea bushes outside the schoolroom window. I went outside with my camera to try to get his picture and he was pretty obliging. He flew from bush to bush but stayed still long enough for me to get his picture a few times. Sunday, May 27, 2007. Yarn: Skinny Dipping by All Things Heathered. Needles: Size 1 US Knit Picks Circulars. The Skinny Dipping ...

Baseball Knitter: Pity Party
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2008/03/pity-party.html
Saturday, March 08, 2008. After this little bit of retail therapy, I went to the kitchen. There I put on a cd of my favorite musician. And cranked it up loud. I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies and had myself a good cry while I washed the dishes. Finally, I ate the cookies hot out of the oven. After about 45 minutes, my pity party was over. Baseball Knitter: The Boy Hat
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2008/03/boy-hat.html
Monday, March 10, 2008. Pattern: The Boy Hat Pattern. Yarn: Malabrigo Merino Worsted in Azul Profundo. Needles: size 7 U.S. Modifications: None - knit exactly as written. It's really just a simple 4x4 ribbed hat but with some interesting decreasing on the top. I think it's the perfect man/boy type hat. I plan to give this to one of my brother-in-laws for Christmas and may make a matching scarf or neck warmer to go with it. Don't you want to squish that yarn? Subscribe to: Comment Feed (RSS).

Baseball Knitter: Scrunchable Scarf
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2008/02/scrunchable-scarf.html
Friday, February 29, 2008. Yarn: Malabrigo Worsted Bergamota. Needles: size 10 U.S. One of my goals for 2008 is to knit a non-sock project for every month. I don't typically knit Christmas gifts but this year I thought I'd knit a few. I knit this Srunchable Scarf for my sister-in-law, Debbie. I cast on the night of the Super Bowl when I realized I needed a simple project to keep me busy. The Patriots lost but the Malabrigo kept me happy. Subscribe to: Comment Feed (RSS). Baseball Knitter: November 2007
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 28, 2007. As I was walking up the driveway this morning after my walk, I spied a male pine grosbeak. In my front tree. He looked so nice silhouetted against the yellow house that I went in to get my camera to try to get a picture of him. It was only when I was looking through the camera lens that I realized he wasn't alone. His mate is there up above and behind him in the picture. They're still out there now enjoying their breakfast. Thursday, November 22, 2007. Today I received these...

Baseball Knitter: June 2007
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 30, 2007. First Embossed Leaves Sock. I'm almost done the leg of the second sock. Doesn't the naked foot look sad? Actually, both feet are sad because these socks are great and they're not for them. The Louet Gems is simply a dream to knit with. It is so soft it's hard to believe it's wool. I can't wait to use it again for socks for me. Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Mr Baseball will be home late on Thursday evening so I hope to have pictures to share on Friday. Sunday, June 24, 2007. Baseball Knitter: Koolhaas
http://baseballknitter.blogspot.com/2008/03/koolhaas.html
Friday, March 14, 2008. Yarn: Malabrigo Merino Worsted in Continental Blue. Needles: size 6 and 8 circulars. I seem to be the only person who doesn't LOVE this hat. My gauge is spot on and the hat came out to the prescribed size but it's HUGE. It's even big on Adam's giant melon head (which he inherited from me). I don't really like the way it looks. It reminds me of a giant blue raspberry. And I don't mean that in a good way. Subscribe to: Comment Feed (RSS). View my complete profile.
