Tejana Studio: Finishing WIPs
http://tejanastudio.blogspot.com/2013/09/finishing-wips.html
All things close to my heart. Monday, September 9, 2013. I started making fabric bowls Labor Day weekend to get myself back into the sewing room (aka Jake's bedroom) on a more routine basis. This past weekend I made another fabric bowl, a small, dark blue and black bowl that's a perfect size for holding paper clips or pennies on your desk. I decided to add a few beads to it to lighten it up a bit. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Storm Watch, it Seems. Art Quilts by Kathy York. Free Spirit Art Studio.

All things close to my heart. Sunday, November 25, 2012. Change and More Change. This year has been rife with change. My eldest son graduated high school and headed off to college at the University of Arizona. My youngest son celebrated his 14th birthday and is halfway through his final year of junior high school. I was promoted at work which makes for longer, more intense weekdays. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Storm Watch, it Seems. Art Quilts by Kathy York. Here’s One Solution. FIVE Ways to Hang a Quilt!

Tejana Studio: Routine
http://tejanastudio.blogspot.com/2013/09/routine.html
All things close to my heart. Friday, September 6, 2013. Summers are always hectic for me. My job is at its most intense from May to September. Okay, so that's a bit longer than summer, but when you add in Jake and Sam home from school and 100 degree days, I have little time to think, much less enjoy a creative outlet. How did you learn how to do these bowls? I SO want to learn! And I still want to learn how to quilt one day.never too old to learn something new, right? December 5, 2013 at 9:36 AM. Walks ...

All things close to my heart. Monday, April 1, 2013. There aren't enough hours in the day to do everything I want- or need- to do. My New Year's resolutions were shot by mid March, but I keep trying to catch up. Here it is, April 1, and I've only read one book so far. It was really good; In the Woods. So I haven't read one book per month. And I haven't finished all the projects I said I would by this date. I am close to finalizing the layout for a co-worker's baby quilt. I'm sure I won't be d...Taken a c...

Tejana Studio: December 2012

All things close to my heart. Sunday, December 2, 2012. French Knots and Machines in Need of Repair. This is going to be interesting. So much work to do before the January meeting. However, I may have more time for this hand work given that my machine is way overdue for a cleaning and its annual maintenance and it began showing it last night. I was making good time quilting one of the triplet's quilts when the bobbin thread started jamming. I am about 3/4 of the way done with the quilting. A stitch in dye.
