Durante las conversaciones, que se extenderán hasta el viernes, las dos partes intercambiarán opiniones para confirmar la importancia del acuerdo y esperan concluirlo "pronto", según los cancilleres. Por parte japonesa están presentes Masahiro Takasugi, director de la división de América del Sur del Ministerio de Exteriores, junto a otros responsables de esa cartera y de Economía.
