http://dcpilot.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Learning to Fly in the ADIZ. Monday, January 12, 2009. But first, we need to dance around all of the airspace around here. Our route of flight went something like this. No real surprise, I spent the first ten minutes of the flight behind the airplane. After takeoff, I need to stay below certain altitudes, talk to air traffic control(who has many odd questions), and get used to checking the heading and GPS. Did I mention it's dark, and that I am unfamiliar with this neck of the woods? While only 2.6 h...

Learning to Fly in the ADIZ. Monday, December 18, 2006. Almost ready to solo. Two lessons scheduled this weekend, only one flight. Saturday, my CFI. And I went over my pre. Solo written test. Of the 40 or so questions, I nailed 35 of them w/out needing to look the answers up. One that I had no clue was "If a plane is in front of you, and appears to not be getting closer, what does that mean? Short answer, as given by my CFI. Right before the stall. The right wing dropped, and spooked me pretty well&#...

http://hoyahenrys.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 31, 2006. 95% complete. The 9th hole was 98% shale, of course, and I'm still chipping away at it slowly - about 2" to go overall. Luckily my neighbor provided some much needed shovel support, else I would have probably not gotten quite as far, to say the least. The whole without dirt. just "solid" shale/sandstone rock. Ting, chink, clang. still going. I need the energizer bunny to lossen some of it up. Footings inspection is tomorrow. ;). Posted by Bob @ 10:53 AM 0 comments. There will be 3 ...
