Except it smells like mushrooms. and everyone looks like they wanna hurt me. Answering the phone] Buddy: Buddy the Elf! What's your favorite color? Our Beautiful Family: November 2014
http://ourbeautifulfamilylife.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Fishing on the Weekends. We spent our weekends in September mostly soaking up the last days of lake time. These kids just love the water and we want to soak up every minute we can. Who knows if we will have another summer as wonderful as this one. The boys started school on August 20th! This whole thing is very surreal. I am not ready to let them go, but they are so excited about school. Their first days of school went great! Owen's first day of school also went great. He w...

Our Beautiful Family: Pirate Birthday Bash!
http://ourbeautifulfamilylife.blogspot.com/2014/11/pirate-birthday-bash.html
Monday, November 3, 2014. My boys are now 4 and 5 years old! I cannot believe how big they are getting. For their birthday this year we decided to create a pirate party since they are so in love with Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I made a pretty simple cake this year. I thought the flag on top was so cute! When guests arrived, they were first able to grab some snacks. We had pirate ships (jello and an orange), fish and chips (goldfish and Doritos), and pirate jewels (fruit salad). The next stop on the ...

http://ourbeautifulfamilylife.blogspot.com/2011/09/thing-1-and-thing-2.html
Tuesday, September 6, 2011. Thing 1 and Thing 2. As my previous posts have revealed, I now have a 1 year old and a 2 year old! My boys are growing up so fast! Luckily, my mother-in-law flew in a week before the party. Unfortunately, Owen was admitted that same day. Owen was discharged two days before the party. We had a lot of work to do in those two days. We pulled it off! I think the party turned out great! WARNING: Lots of pictures ahead : ). The sign that welcomed the party guests. I am very proud o...

Our Beautiful Family: December 2014
http://ourbeautifulfamilylife.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 17, 2014. The boys just had to be power rangers for Halloween. I guess my days of picking their Halloween outfits are over but they sure were excited about dressing up! On Halloween it was raining so we got out before it got too late. We got out before the rain started and had a good hour of trick or treating before it started raining. We were done by 6:15 but we had some pretty happy boys with all that candy :). Friday, December 5, 2014. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Wednesday, August 6, 2014. First Family Camping Trip: Day 3. Day three was no different in the morning. The boys got up very early and we headed out of the tent to the bathroom. Breakfast went a little quicker and we headed out to the North Grove trail right away for a nice hike. If you know our children, you probably know that our boys love maps. Before the hike, we stopped by the visitors center and picked up our maps of the trail so the boys could lead us! Owen hugging a tree! Mother of the Forest.

http://ourbeautifulfamilylife.blogspot.com/2014/03/wonderful-news.html
Monday, March 31, 2014. Today our lives are changing. We have been working toward this day for quite some time. I am actually in shock that this day is here and I will praise God that we have made it to this point in this journey. Owen came home from the NICU on full g-tube feeds and that was it. However, today is the day! Tonight Owen receives his last dose of TPN! This is something we have been working toward for so long and I am jumping for joy! No more preparing TPN. No more hooking him up. Praising ...

Our Beautiful Family: Life with a Feeding Tube
http://ourbeautifulfamilylife.blogspot.com/2012/02/life-with-feeding-tube.html
Thursday, February 9, 2012. Life with a Feeding Tube. Understanding Life with a Feeding Tube. Explaining a day in the life/daily routine of tube feeding and all it requires. Owen's daily routine is a little different from others with a feeding tube because he does not bolus feed at all. Each night, after Owen goes to sleep, I make a full days worth of neocate formula for the next day. Mixing a full days worth of formula the night before makes the day run smoother :). Here is a video :). We change the mic...
