A Year in Miami

A Year in Miami. Saturday, July 4, 2009. A Little Older, a Little Tanner, and a Whole Lot Wiser. Ok, I know that it has been almost three weeks since I graduated City Year and have last updated, but in my defense, I've have been REALLY busy moving from Florida to Michigan, and then with my summer class and with reuniting with all of my friends. Since a lot of you have been nagging me to finish this blog, though, here it is ; ) :. As of now, I have been back home in Ann Arbor for a week and a half. Af...

A Year in Miami: December 2008

http://www.ayearinmiami.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

A Year in Miami. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Today has been a somewhat less than desirable day. In the middle of the night, my bed broke. I don't know how. I was fast asleep, and all of a sudden I was on the floor. I got up, replaced the wooden slats that had slipped down and the mattress, and fell back asleep. The same thing happened three other times throughout the night, so I was not well-rested at all when my alarm clock went off this morning. Sunday, December 28, 2008. Saturday, December 27, 2008.

A Year in Miami. Sunday, August 31, 2008. Have a great day. Why not? It doesn't cost you anything! Today, for the first time, I rode the bus all by myself, and I didn't even get lost! I was just going to church, which is only three miles away from my apartment, but I am still very proud of myself. Orail to the metromover to the bus station, where we caught a bus back home. All in all, an hour long trip took three hours. Saturday, August 30, 2008. A Day in Little Haiti. Friday, August 29, 2008. The Pictur...

http://www.ayearinmiami.blogspot.com/2009/06/1813-hrs.html

A Year in Miami. Thursday, June 11, 2009. Yesterday just consisted of more planning for team stuff, and more handing out of pamphlets. My online class started yesterday, though, so I got to leave work a little early so I could get home and get onto my computer in time. Today started with the P.T. competition. My team did not win, but everyone said that the contest was fixed and that we should have won. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

A Year in Miami: October 2008

http://www.ayearinmiami.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html

A Year in Miami. Monday, October 27, 2008. I lied. I did in fact do something other than lie around yesterday - Beth and I went down to South Beach for key lime pie. I had never had key lime pie before, so I thought that now that I live in Miami, it would be the perfect time to try it. It was delicious! For the after school program today, nothing special occurred. Homework help, math practice, and the creative writing club is all that was on the agenda. Sunday, October 26, 2008. Saturday, October 25, 2008.

A Year In Meetings. June 15, 2012- ESP Emotionally Sensitive People. We are not a glum lot, but we are highly sensitive bunch of people aren’t we? We can be offended at the drop of a hat or catch a resentment off of somebody else’s resentment. Hell, we are so sensitive we can even feel OTHER people’s feelings! Isn’t that something? My advice to you, is figure out how YOU feel about a situation first, before you go around with absolute surety assigning emotional states to other people. Master your own...
