Nightwatch - Chocolamousse
http://chocolamousse.livejournal.com/7438.html
Into Chinese by Lowtension. Into Czech by miamam. 221B Baker Street, a bedroom, at night. Before the Fall. The room is quiet. I hear only Johns breath. I see his chest rise and fall steadily. It’s so soothing. I watch his sleepy face in the shadowy light, endlessly, and though I know it by heart its not boring at all. If I close my eyes I still see it. I wonder what he would say if he knew. I wonder if, one day, hell wake up and find me there, next to his bed, in my dressing gown, my legs tucked to t...

Sherlock fic: There’ll be people - Ariane DeVere
http://arianedevere.livejournal.com/76516.html
Sherlock fic: There’ll be people. Sherlock fic: There’ll be people. An afternoon with mark gatiss. Fantastic friends at my house. Look back in anger. There’s a reason why Sherlock doesn’t travel on the Underground, and it’s not because he’s a snob. John learns the reason the hard way. Although, given the conclusion, maybe this one Tube ride wasn’t such a bad idea. Bickering, banter, a bit of angst, fluff, friendship, first kiss. And Chocolamousse’s optional epilogue™. A birthday fic for. Oh, for God’s sa...

Diahretic Expostulation: January 2013
http://jksqr.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
A blog written by both halves of JK Squared. Saturday, January 19, 2013. This week we tried Ming's Seafood at 1 Brook Street, Quincy (it's actually on Newport Avenue in Wollaston, about a block from La Paloma). This place came recommended to me by the same friend whose parents are from Hong Kong and who recommended Yummy last time. The word was that it had very good food, but got crowded quickly. We're taking a break next weekend due to a business trip, but tune in soon for our next sampling. We got take...

Diahretic Expostulation: Inferior Terrace
http://jksqr.blogspot.com/2013/01/inferior-terrace.html
A blog written by both halves of JK Squared. Friday, January 11, 2013. The first restaurant we tried as part of our quest was Imperial Terrace, located on Sea Street in Quincy. Some background first. We have driven by this restaurant nearly every day since we bought our house 12 years ago. Click on the following link to see what the outside looks like, from yelp.com. The food was very heavy and salty. I didn't get through much of it before my stomach didn't feel quite right. When the waitress cam...Also,...

Diahretic Expostulation: September 2010
http://jksqr.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
A blog written by both halves of JK Squared. Monday, September 20, 2010. Why is it that traveling happens in clumps? It feels like we either have a month packed with travel, or nothing at all. Maybe the "nothing at all" periods are the times we need to rest up for the month that is packed with travel. Sometimes it really does take weeks to get caught up, it feels. With one exception, we'd had no phone calls since May! And, for strictly gratuitous purposes, here's a cute photo of Annika with her daddy:.

Diahretic Expostulation: August 2010
http://jksqr.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
A blog written by both halves of JK Squared. Tuesday, August 24, 2010. On Sunday, we met our aunt and her best friend for a little visit in Albany. We've done this before. It shouldn't have been so complicated, right? We began to worry that the dates had been mixed up. But we couldn't reach D. at home and couldn't verify that she was still in Buffalo, so off we left for Albany. We were pretty sure that D. and P. were not going to be on the train, but we figured it would be an adventure. What an exhaustin...

Diahretic Expostulation: Yummy Cafe
http://jksqr.blogspot.com/2013/01/yummy-cafe.html
A blog written by both halves of JK Squared. Friday, January 11, 2013. Week 2 of our Chinese restaurant adventure! We got take-out from Yummy Cafe, located at 669 Hancock Street in North Quincy. This place came recommended to us by a colleague of mine whose parents are from Hong Kong. He described it as a place that serves comfort-type food, Hong Kong style. The lo mein was a big hit with me, Jim and (unbelievably) Ian! Their menu is a lot smaller than many Chinese restaurants, and I actually appreciate ...

Diahretic Expostulation: October 2010
http://jksqr.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
A blog written by both halves of JK Squared. Friday, October 22, 2010. Dear Blog Readers,. You'll notice that I haven't written a blog in a while. The truth of the matter is that between this and Facebook, I'm getting awfully tired of monologues. I much prefer dialogs. Is the current "social networking" technology such that we don't talk to each other anymore? We just all post things about ourselves in separate spheres, and then "cyber stalk" all our friends? At this point, I'm done with that.
