The reality for us was that we were going to have to live in the house whilst we renovated it. Financially it was the smartest decision for us. Not the best photo, but you get the idea…. We chose to install the wardrobes to either side of the fireplace, as this space was too small to do much more with. A single bed wouldn’t fit there, and neither would a chest of drawers.

I became aware of my eyes scanning from left to right behind closed eyelids. It was exhausting. During the waking hours I would sketch over endless lengths of yellow trace. I’d run scenario after scenario past Tom. The poor man was bamboozled. I could not work it out! It was at this point that I thought I needed a second opinion.
