Monday, November 23, 2009. The last 15km of the ride almost went better for me than the preceding 37km. We finished by riding some very technical single track sections and a moment’s lack of concentration would certainly have resulted in some heavy injuries. The usual pre-match Haka unfolded but it ended with one hell of a confrontation with the Welsh refusing to be intimidated by the Kiwi's and an entertaining stand-off ensued which eventually ended only once the ref had a word with both captains. Friday, July 24, 2009. Myself, Tont and Campo have all joined the Westville Athletics Running Club and are regularly attending the weekly 8km time trials. A mandatory 2 beer minimum post run regime is in place and it is proving to be a very enjoyable weekly meeting. Last week Shuz came along for the run and I feel we will soon have another member on board. For now it's just one step at a time and the 'Two10 Hopefuls' are easing into things nice and slowly. Keep an eye out for our next race in August.
