Her Majesty is particularly remembered by the residents of Bagshot for the two occasions in recent times that she visited our parish church of St Anne. The first was in 1974 to celebrate the centenary of the parish, the second in 1990 to unveil a memorial plaque to Lady Patricia Ramsay (Princess Patricia). Was the younger daughter of the Duke of Connaught. She lived locally and had regularly worshipped at St Anne's.

Walks in and around Bagshot. The countryside access laws (CROW Act) provide for public access to much undeveloped land. There is one area within Bagshot that is designated under the Act but since this was open access anyway the Act had no particular influence. The area should be shown by this link. But if that does not work go to www.openaccess.gov.uk/wps/portal/lm/accessmap. Much of the Crown Estate woodland north of Bagshot now has permissive access. A 2km, mostly level, walk. The bicentenary of the victory at Trafalgar and the death of Admiral Lord Nelson was celebrated in 2005. Bagshot had a major role in those celebrations. The news was brought by post-chaise from Falmouth, Cornwall to London by Lieutenant Lapenotiere along what is now the A30. The journey, which covered 271 miles was completed in 37 hours at an average speed of 7.25 miles per hour with 22 changes of horses along the route.
