My very first foray into savory tart making, I found this to be much easier than I thought! 1 1/2 pounds medium yellow tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices. 1 1/2 pounds medium red tomatoes, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, divided. 1 cup fresh corn kernels (about 2 ears). 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice. 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal.

My mom wanted a homemade(ish) caramel Cake for her birthday, I say “ish” because it’s from a box but doctored up! I made it 3 layers since family came over, it was massive haha. Heres how I made it:. Cake: Vegetable oil spray for misting the pans. Flour for dusting the pans. 1 package (18.5 ounces) Duncan Hines butter recipe golden cake mix. Cup warm water, or until smooth. 1 stick salted butter (if use unsalted add a pinch of salt). Cup dark brown sugar. Cup light brown sugar. 2 cups confectioners sugar.

I have enjoyed baking since a very young age and would bake all the time if I had more people to feed my creations to (well I can’t be an obese nutritionist….can I…?
