Club Magazine - Tegid Times. The town of Bala. Is situated on the shore of the largest natural lake in Wales, LLyn Tegid (Lake Tegid - literal translation) hence the clubs newsletter Tegid Times. It first appeared in the early sixty's, it's creator was Mr. Wynne Foulds and was then a single sheet of foolscap paper run off on a duplicator. There have been several editors over the years, with the occasional break in production when no one could be found to produce it.

Bored of going around and around on flat featureless venues? Want a real challenge? Then try the Ranges. An opportunity to test (wo). Man and machine over twisty undulating tarmac roads. This section contains a description of the venue, and some photographs of various features and corners. Move your mouse cursor along the road to find clickable areas of the map to view some images (currently 23 hot spots). Stage 1 is from the start on the rectangular area to the end of one of the access roads.

The Ranges is an area of a Welsh mountain side that was use by the army as a tank firing range, they built an area about the size of large football field with an access road running across the mountain, and the odd track running to a few gun emplacements, most of these tracks have now disappeared, but the road and central area still exist. The place was then used for a few years as a rally school by Ian Hughes, and the motorclub held closed to club events there, the odd hillclimb, autotest and sprint.

The club is run by a small band of enthusiasts, most of whom are self employed, they run and organize events in their spare time. We meet every Second Tuesday in the month at the Plas Coch Hotel, High Street, Bala at 8.00 PM. (approx). Please note change of date from first Tuesday to second Tuesday in the month (08/03/05).
