Balcony of Eden: June 2014

http://www.balconyofeden.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Friday, 27 June 2014. Cool Write-up on Vertical Gardening at Mobile Home Living. I just read a neat write-up on alternative methods of gardening at Mobile Home Living. Check it out - there's lots of nifty pictures too, and we all know how much I love pictures. I really like the look of this system using 2litre pop bottles and was thinking of trying something like that for strawberries - it looks like a great space saver which is cheap to make. A good winter project. Saturday, 21 June 2014. The next time ...

Balcony of Eden: Getting Rid of Pigeons on the Balcony

http://www.balconyofeden.blogspot.com/2015/03/getting-rid-of-pigeons-on-balcony.html

Tuesday, 3 March 2015. Getting Rid of Pigeons on the Balcony. Well, there goes the neighbourhood. With the warming weather, the pigeons which demolished my bean crop last summer. Have returned to the building. That means I'm going to have to battle these little creatures on my own - or at least start a research project figuring out what to do about them. Wiki-How says that pigeons also don't like spices. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcome to Balcony of Eden. Welcome to "Balcony of Eden". A Mid-J...

Balcony of Eden: April 2015

http://www.balconyofeden.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, 30 April 2015. This year, I'm going to expand the Balcony of Eden's output potential by including local foods I can easily forage for. Blackberries grow like the bloody dickens here and, in fact, are pretty much considered pests as plants. I love. Click Pic for Trail Peak's Description of Tea Pot Hill. That's a project for later in the summer). Be Sure Your Dandelions Have Not Been Sprayed with Chemicals! Hmmm But also, of course, you can make Dandelion Wine. I've never tried it before. So, tha...

Balcony of Screaming Wolves

Balcony of Screaming Wolves. Thursday, September 27, 2007. By the end of the week he had eaten us all, well bits and pieces of each of us at any rate. We'd all been tied together in the bunk in the back and he cut off each of our toes. Finding toes unsatisfying, he cut us all into pieces, bought a bunch of ice and froze us like sirloins, choosing whichever cut he felt like as the days unfolded. And we'd thought that the zombies were the greatest threat to our survival at that time. Man; it just happens.
