Issue 15 – Baby It’s Cold Out There | BlogWyrm
http://www.blogwyrm.com/2015/02/20/issue-15-baby-its-cold-out-there
Issue 15 – Baby It’s Cold Out There. February 20, 2015. The snow has fallen and so has the temperature. The irony of this current issue, is that the number 15 is greater than the reading on my thermometer. And since it is so cold outside why don’t you stay in and read some fine columns in this week’s installment. When does multiplying by a matrix look like performing a vector cross product? When you are in the magic that is three dimensions as explained in Under the Hood. Larr; Previous post. Issue 61: G...

http://www.blogwyrm.com/2015/02/13/issue-14-a-fortnight
Issue 14 – A Fortnight. February 13, 2015. In any event, let’s get on to the columns. The January jobs report is in. The economy has been producing new jobs at a good rate. So why did the unemployment rate go up and what should the Fed do about it? Finishes the backstory of our favorite Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. with a look at Skye’s very huggable and lovable father – Calvin Zabo – and looks ahead to what the future may hold for her in the Marvel cinematic universe. Well Under the Hood. Larr; Previous post.

Issue 20 – Graduation | BlogWyrm
http://www.blogwyrm.com/2015/05/16/issue-20-graduation
Issue 20 – Graduation. May 16, 2015. Issue 20 is arriving a bit late this week. And we at Blog Wyrm have a great excuse. Graduation – high school and college. Cap and gowns, commencements, and the like. That bizarre craziness that starts with the student and then sucks the parents in. In some sense, getting twenty issues out the door is a kind of graduation for us a well. Wonder what we’ll do next week when we turn out 21? Still thrilled by the connection between Turing and Gödel, Aristotle to Digital.

Issue 64: Just Why is September the Ninth Month? Were the Romans mad? And why bring this up in July? Well, the reason is that the months of July and August were inserted into the calendar, displacing what had been the seventh month of September down by two slots. And why were July and August inserted? To honor the two new Roman gods – Julius and Augustus Caesar. There is also another Roman connection is this months lineup. The Romans valued farming. As this month’s Aristotle To Digital. Waves in cold mag...

Author Archive: BW admin. Issue 41: A View From Munich. Munich itself is a lovely and clean city. It has a strange but delightful mix of old-world buildings and culture grafted with the globalized reach of modern business. It is not uncommon to see American exports, like McDonald’s and Pizza Hut built into buildings that date back hundreds of years and which once formed the castles or walls for the core portion of the city. At the top of the list, Green Screen. Gives a thoughtful review of the new movie.

Issue 16 – Sweet Sixteen | BlogWyrm
http://www.blogwyrm.com/2015/02/27/issue-16-sweet-sixteen
Issue 16 – Sweet Sixteen. February 27, 2015. When launched, Image Comics was a prepubescent’s dream: big muscles, big breasts, big guns, big action and no story. Things have change in the past twenty years as discussed in this week’s About Comics. What do language, metaphor and Star Trek have in common? Come read Aristotle to Digital. Tries to set things right. Contrary to popular belief, capitalists are not limited to business owners, bankers, and Wall Street wolves. Common Cents. Larr; Previous post.

Issue 17 – Blog Wyrm in its Prime. April 24, 2015. Well two weeks turned into 6 weeks and we at Blog Wyrm do apologize. In our defense, half of our creative team has been busy supporting NASA’s launch of the Magnetospheric MultiScale (MMS) mission and mostly on the midnight shift. So it has taken a little longer to recover and get re-energized to get back to Blog Wyrm. Anyway, we are back with issue 17 and in our prime (all pun intended). This week’s Aristotle to Digital. Issue 18 – Is Spring Really Here? | BlogWyrm
http://www.blogwyrm.com/2015/05/01/issue-18-is-spring-really-here
Issue 18 – Is Spring Really Here? May 1, 2015. It is the first of May. The skies are overcast, the temperature cool and perhaps even chilly. People are wearing heavy clothing and are staying warm or they are dressing for spring and shivering. The first summer blockbuster is out in theaters in the form of Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, but it certainly isn’t summer. It doesn’t even feel like spring. Points out, it is often the case that the objects we don’t define are as important as those we do. The electric...
