The kitchen has been plasetered at last and looks fabulous although Daithi isn't that impressed with some of the plasterwork. Ballydaniel House and Other Things. Thursday, November 26, 2009. Floods and a new arrival. Finally the rain has stopped. The rain has not only prevented us from rendering the outside of the house but has caused widespread floods and devastation to some parts of Ireland. A week after the torrential rain and still some parts of Cork city are without water and flood levels are rising around the Shannon area. Only a month before Christmas and people are homeless, jobless and in total disarray.

Ballydaniel House and Other Things. Friday, April 23, 2010. Spring is here at last. At last. the weather has improved and we are getting nice warm sunshine. It is really nice to be able to get the washing dry outside in the fresh air. And had driven down from Donegal. They match our ones exactly and now we have enough for all the ridge.
