The Bad Oriole: Here we go again...
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2011/11/here-we-go-again.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Here we go again. The Orioles made an offer to GM candidate Tony LaCava yesterday following his second interview with the team on Monday. Word was that LaCava left the interview "impressed", saying that he'd "take the job if it was offered to him". LaCava had been rumored to be the Orioles top choice since the search for a new GM to replace Andy MacPhail began in mid-October. Whats the source behind your ...

The Bad Oriole: February 2011
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Friday, February 25, 2011. City Tour #3 - Los Angeles, California. For my first American city, I'll reminisce over Los Angeles, a city so big and sprawling that it encompasses many smaller cities and towns that each bring something different to the collective table. So here is how I thought L.A. stacked up as a whole. I saw the sign. And it opened up my eyes. I saw the sign. The bomb-ass shrimp tacos. LA has a subway? 4 Look and Feel...

The Bad Oriole: Hoping that the unorthadox can work
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2011/10/hoping-that-unorthadox-can-work.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Monday, October 10, 2011. Hoping that the unorthadox can work. With Andy MacPhail officially no longer the Orioles GM, and Buck Showalter staying in the dugout, a new GM will need to be hired. And the sooner the better since the postseason will be complete in a little over two weeks. To say the Orioles have a lot of work to do this offseason is an understatement. Why would a GM want to come to Baltimore when the word on the street is...

The Bad Oriole: June 2011
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Is it just me? Or has this been one big slog of a season thus far? Sure, it's better than last year's Orioles team, which was 20-52 after 72 games, and there's been a decent amount of winning streaks this year, but they've promptly been erased by equally as long - or longer - losing streaks. This year's team is just so.boring. And it's making it hard to care about this team. Thursday, June 16, 2011. Remember...

The Bad Oriole: September 2012
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Thursday, September 6, 2012. Art Modell passed away this morning at the age of 87. The year was 1995. I was sixteen years old. The CFL came to Baltimore and gave us some excitement as the Stallions appeared in two Grey Cup games during the two years they were in Baltimore, winning one of them before relocating to Montreal. But despite their success, the CFL was not the NFL. My friends and I drove to the airport that night to welcome ...

The Bad Oriole: July 2011
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Monday, July 25, 2011. It's July 25th. Do you know how many losses your Orioles have? I won't blame you if you don't know the answer. I had to look it up myself. That would be 58. 58 losses on July 25th. Do you know what the average number of losses the AL East Champs have had over the last 13 years? Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Baltimore becoming a one sports town again. I was born in 1979. The Colts left in 1984 meaning I came of ag...

The Bad Oriole: It's Steeler Week
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2011/11/its-steeler-week.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Going back to week 1, when the Ravens routed the Steelers 35-7, Ravens fans felt as if they'd already clinched an appearance in the Super Bowl. I can't lie, it felt good. Damn good. The Ravens had just gotten revenge on the Steelers following a heartbreaking playoff loss in Pittsburgh, where the Ravens led at halftime, 21-7. I hope I'm wrong. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Bad Oriole: March 2011
http://thebadoriole.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
A place where the beer is cold but always served in a glass half-empty. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. Britton, Reimold starting 2011 in AAA. Chin up, Nolan, you'll be back sooner than you know it. Zach Britton was the O's best starting pitcher this spring. It's bittersweet to see Nolan Reimold and Zach Britton sent to Norfolk to start the 2011 season. Over the last two nights I watched two similar movies about alien invasions: District 9. Do at the end of the film. And in their endings, Monsters. And these ar...
