Adam, Amanda, and Ava. Thanksgiving Play and Feast. November 25, 2014. Ava’s class invited all the parents to come see their presentation of the ABC’s of Thanksgiving Play. Ava was originally assigned to “G is for Grateful”, but since the flu is going around, she also got to say the “L is for Land” part. October 26, 2014. Adam, Amanda, and Ava. After two visits to the pumpkin patch, we finally decided it was close enough to Halloween to carve our pumpkins. Ava started out on Mommy’s team, but didn’t like cleaning out the insides so she switched to Daddy’s team when he did it for her. Mommy carved a Cheshire Cat and Daddy did a traditional pumpkin face. They are so cute all lit up! Now for the two prettiest little butterflies in the world…. We are so excited for a fun Halloween this year! October 25, 2014.

Sign of the times. There are a few things that come up in house that make Adam and I realize how different our family is compared to the rest of the world. Things like eating supper together every night and our kids not having TVs in their rooms. I realize that our kids’ ages play a big part in that, but I am trying to soak it all in while they still are so young. All that to say, Ava’s Avaisms go like this now…. I’m supposed to be working on a budget presentation, but it is 9:15 at night and I’d rather think of all our almost-four-year-old says in a day that are HILARIOUS! Abby has a set of foam dishes in the bathtub with temperature dirt on them to clean. She was playing and kept talking about a “cutter”. A-Day and Open House. April 18, 2015. Adam, Amanda, and Ava. Abby can officially dress herself without any help! In an effort to avoid a fit for bedtime without a bath, we asked Abby to put her PJs in all by herself. SHE DID IT! Her little face beams with pride every time she does it. She was so excited to be so independent. I could eat her face! She has also memorized her first Bible verse: “Those who trust in the Lord will be joyful” -Proverbs 16:20. Adam, Amanda, and Ava. May 21, 2015. We are finally finished with first grade! We didn’t have any end-of-year activities, but were able to get our traditional end-of-year picture with the school sign.
