Pick of the Literate: One Particular Harbour by Chip Bell
http://bookrevues.blogspot.com/2015/05/one-particular-harbour-by-chip-bell.html
Books I have authored. Friday, May 8, 2015. One Particular Harbour by Chip Bell. Jake Sullivan is in hot water again. The U.S. Virgin Islands are the setting for this drama. Jake is arrested for a murder that he didn't commit. I commented in my review of. S "A Pirate Looks at Forty" that I felt that. Was improving in his writing. I feel that he has really brought it home in this book. Plenty of action and tension with the now familiar humorous interplay between Mike Lang and Jake. Click On Me to find out.

Pick of the Literate: A Pirate Looks at Forty by Chip Bell
http://bookrevues.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-pirate-looks-at-forty-by-chip-bell.html
Books I have authored. Monday, May 4, 2015. A Pirate Looks at Forty by Chip Bell. This is the fourth Chip Bell book I have read and the best so far. Is maturing as a writer and his character interaction is even better in this book than the last. This is another Jake Sullivan novel. Jake and his "sidekick" Mike are pulled into another international thriller by an act of piracy in Jake's domain of south. And the recognition that other countries have the same fractional divides that our nation faces. Rating...

Pick of the Literate: Top Secret by W.E.B. Griffin
http://bookrevues.blogspot.com/2015/04/top-secret-by-web-griffin.html
Books I have authored. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Top Secret by W.E.B. Griffin. I haven't read any. S for several years. This one is post WWII and the movement of Germans to. It also is involved with the birth of the CIA from the ashes of the. Jimmy Cronley is the main protagonist for the story. Jimmy, whose moniker I suspect is used, to emphasize his barely mature 22 years of age. Jimmy appears to have been introduced in an early book but a back story appears about a quarter into the book. Ratings: 7 (av...

Pick of the Literate: September 2014
http://bookrevues.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Books I have authored. Saturday, September 27, 2014. Hotelles by Emma Mars. This is a romantic novel that is supposed to be titillating. A young girl, working as an escort, is set to marry a wealthy man. The proposition that a brother would seduce his future sister-in-law is a bit of a stretch but that is the least of the stretching to be done. Annabelle is introduced to a variety of kinkiness by Louie, her future brother-in-law in a hotel that is dedicated to historic hookers. Web site: none found.

Books I have authored. Friday, May 29, 2015. Battle Bugs: The Lizard War by Jack Patton. This is an account of a war between bugs and lizards from the point of view of an eight or nine year boy. Max loves bugs. Like many boys of eight or nine, he finds pleasure in things that offend parents or siblings. In Max's case, his mom is supportive of his love of bugs. Working in an auction house, Max's mom often brings Max things that haven't sold. One of the things ends up transporting him to. Links to this post.

Pick of the Literate: The Syrian Virgin by Zack Love
http://bookrevues.blogspot.com/2015/02/the-syrian-virgin-by-zack-love.html
Books I have authored. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. The Syrian Virgin by Zack Love. Zack Love approaches literature as I approach a bakery. He seems to want to have one of everything. He has published eBook, a short story, a paperback, a novellette, a screenplay, a collection and a comedy. Luckily he writes rather than frequents bakeries because he would be enormous. I showcased his book. And suggest you check it out. That I have read this book, I am still amazed at Zack Love. And Marshall Tito's in.

Pick of the Literate: January 2015
http://bookrevues.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Books I have authored. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Less Than Hero by S.G. Browne. This is black humor at it's peak. The main protagonist is an aimless young man who panhandles and sells his body for drug trials. The travesty of his life is illustrated by his lack of ambition and his less than stellar personality. How he and a band of not so merry misfits impact. Is the basis of the story. Don't despair, the ending will be better than you think. Links to this post. Saturday, January 24, 2015. This is a d...
