December 23, 2016. Up Againt The Wall…. I have 2 life messages, (maybe more) “Your mess is your message to help others”! As some may know, I have a son in prison – scheduled for release in 3.5 years! I visited him recently after not seeing him for over 2 years. After much anguish, a decision of “Tough Love” was in place. I now know why families don’t do this, it is painful! I won’t even mention about how people voice their opinion and seem to judge about this decision! Seeing my son, was bittersweet!

November 29, 2016. Arriving home from Thailand the day before Thanksgiving gave pause to much gratitude! More than 38 hours of travel, caused these weary bones to seek out a hot shower and my comfy bed. Reflecting on what I am thankful for the list grew longer and longer. It was one encounter with a child that has seared my heart! A child about 6 years old, outside a store in Bangkok, 8:30 at night begging for food or money! Dear Lord protect her! Police look the other way as those walking by do the same!
