Be Your Own Regulator | Seasons change
https://discoveryroad.wordpress.com/2011/02/05/be-your-own-regulator
Laquo; Eat Whole Grains. Super squash for any day. Be Your Own Regulator. February 5, 2011 by discoveryroad. Recently, fish have been in the news. Fish high in toxins. Fish that cost less. Fish hurting the U.S. fishing industry. An outcry for more government regulation to protect us from these fish (and to keep U.S. fisher folk with a job). Probably not a good choice. Even “high end” restaurants are helping their bottom line by sourcing their fish from ever cheaper sources. To get you started. You are co...

Laquo; Grilling with greens. Turn to the blank side. September 29, 2014 by discoveryroad. Now that school is in session, I’m reminded how far we still are from a completely digital way to manage all the communications and homework we get. Most of the time, things are printed two-sided – yeah! You’ll need to know if it should go used side up or down. This pile is also used to supply the kids with drawing paper. Other ideas for this paper (once both sides are used, recycle of course):. You are commenting u...

Eat weeds | Seasons change
https://discoveryroad.wordpress.com/2012/05/31/eat-weeds
Laquo; Know the difference: biodegradable vs. compostable. May 31, 2012 by discoveryroad. My back yard is a treasure trove of food and medicine: weeds. Dandelion. Leaves for salad, dandelion root for tea, plantain leaves as a poultice, mullein flowers for tea. Many other plants we consider weeds can be eaten or used for tea. However, safety first! Why eat weeds anyway? A few reasons come to mind: they’re free, fresh and nutritious. Remember, one person’s weeds is another one’s dinner!

http://poppiesandpeonies.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. There's a restaurant named Poppy. Check it out. Put it on the to-do list for Seattle trip.2011? Autumn leaves of a gingerbread tree. Check out Mila's Daydreams. What a cute little baby fantasy world! 1 dark floors in bright white kitchens. 2 tufted ottomans in living rooms. 3 an eclectic fireplace mantle. 4 vignettes in unexpected places. 5 perfectly packed gallery walls. 6 subtly sultry bedrooms in her favorite shade of grey. 7 a girl's dream closet. Which is sad, i know).

Saturday, July 24, 2010. What i ate: july 23. Broder's Restaurant: Edina, MN. Broder's restaurant is located just minutes from 50th and France in Edina. So, if you can hunker your boyfriend into taking a short trip to Anthropologie before making it to this restaurant (a later dinner is more romantic anyways, plus you beat the traffic) I'm guaranteeing you'll have a positively exquisite evening. Spring clean your body | Seasons change
https://discoveryroad.wordpress.com/2010/05/21/spring-clean-your-body
Laquo; Grow some food. Spring clean your body. May 21, 2010 by discoveryroad. Spring is a time of renewal: leaves on the trees; flowers in bloom. As humans, we aren’t living as close to nature as we once were. In the old days or in traditional cultures, we knew which herbs and foods were good to eat in the spring, because that’s what was growing outside our house! Now that spring is here, you can look to your own yard to find some fabulous nutrition – our friend, the dandelion. The bitter qualities are g...

Bio | Seasons change

I have been passionate about living a healthy lifestyle for many years! In college, I started out learning about “natural foods” working at Rainbow Foods in Minneapolis, MN. At that time, the Natural Foods department was more an accessory – tucked away at the back of the store. Today, the natural foods are a bigger focus and integrated into the regular shopping experience. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. poppies and peonies: January 2011
http://poppiesandpeonies.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 31, 2011. I like white room pallets. They're the simplest way to make the most impact of colorful framed artwork, and framed window views. The contrast and interest guides you to the smallest of details, and allows you to hone in on texture. Natural light, and nature in general feels most highlighted here. I love it. And I don't think it's boring either. Sunday, January 30, 2011. I want whimsy, i want breakfast in bed. Saturday, January 29, 2011. Ny map journal.a series? How many, how long.
