GNIP – Making data portability suck less! July 2, 2008 at 6:58 am Posted in Technology and Implications. I was just reading about gnip. This seems to me, a rehash of the old style event driven mechanism, for large scale service oriented systems; working on multiple data formats, including REST, RSS, ATOM. There are some really nice explanations of how gnip works here. And some more stuff is available at. Http:/ blog.gnipcentral.com/2008/07/01/the-what-of-gnip-changing-apis-from-pull-to-push/.

Cogito, ergo doleo...: October 2005
http://feefiefofum.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Cogito, ergo doleo. Wednesday, October 19, 2005. Sensitive dependence on availability of onions. I have often thought about the butterfly effect in my own life. what if I had not sat next to that chap during my engineering college counseling? What if I had been allocated a different room in my first year of college? What if my eyesight had been better than it was during the medical test of my first campus interview? What if a professor in Austin had not mixed up my name? Presumptuous, would it? Set of AA...

Cogito, ergo doleo...: August 2007
http://feefiefofum.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Cogito, ergo doleo. Saturday, August 11, 2007. I don't know why I call this post 'Desmodromic Valves'. For one, I am not. Going to write about desmodromic valves. Okay, maybe a little, because today was the day I found out what these valves are all about. To be brief (since I've already promised that I wouldn't be writing about them), they are valves with positive return mechanisms that make sure that the valve in an internal combustion engine returns. It's all cooked.". I raised an eyebrow. Mom turned t...

Cogito, ergo doleo...: November 2007
http://feefiefofum.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Cogito, ergo doleo. Wednesday, November 14, 2007. I had, earlier in the year, dragged Madhu to watch Resident Evil: Extinction. Which I thought could not be worse than the previous two installments. I was wrong, and soon enough I found myself in the position of owing Madhu two movies of her choice. Which is rather scary when you know there is a Shah Rukh "I'm a Backstreet Boy" Khan movie lurking around the corner. Or the back street, so to speak. Too much cricket in the media these days.". Foosball team,...

Cogito, ergo doleo...: January 2006
http://feefiefofum.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Cogito, ergo doleo. Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Long time and all that, eh, people? My apologies. I was on vacation - meeting family after ages and all that, and had to put in some frantic travel and work to make up for it. Anyways, I'm, as they say in Hollywood, back. Big as life and twice as bad, or words to that effect. I also have taken loads of pics, which I shall be uploading periodically out here, until I feel energetic enough to actually write. Pic 1: Title - "ear". A word of thanks to Anurag.

The ThinkTank Chronicles.: Cost of a Life.
http://mindwarrior.blogspot.com/2006/01/cost-of-life.html
This is my journey from the deeply mysterious to the outrageously silly and mundace happenings of my life. the lows and highs, the ups and downs. And maybe a Simple Harmonic Motion to an exponential curve. Mathematical, Scientific, Theistic, Philosophical, Logical,Social, every conceivable idea. Monday, January 23, 2006. Cost of a Life. I think now is the time for me to commit suicide. The farmer on his bed recuperating from his failed-suicide attempt continued. Excerpt from a real anecdote. O' Traveller...
