Wednesday, August 14, 2013. A Day of Firsts. The good news is that the school year is off to a great start and promises to be extra challenging for my sixth grader who managed to make it through the past two years with straight A’s. It will also be challenging for my 3. Grader who is not longer the big man on campus at the K-2 elementary school and now part of the youngest group and the 3 – 6 intermediate school. Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Like a speeding bullet! Not complaining (even though I had an additional delay in Atlanta) because I’ve learned to make the best of travel whenever possible. First of all, there are worse things than being delayed at home. Also, I was upgraded to first class for my entire trip, had a long enough layover to eat a decent meal in Atlanta (international terminal has better food) at Ecco in Concourse E. Tuesday, October 23, 2012. I typically try to steer my kids away from sugary treats for breakfast. They typically eat oatmeal, yogurt and granola, or eggs. They've gotten to the point where they can actually cook eggs on their own (yay independence! Right now, they really love omelets. To make it even easier, I bought a cool little omelet pan for them to use. The resulting omelet is not your typical half moon shape but it cooks perfectly and the kids love it! Posted by Basic Woman. Monday, July 8, 2013. Today was a travel day which means I was exhausted as usual I was also hungry all day. Fortunately I had packed egg muffins, sweet potatoes cooked in coconut oil, and blueberries for my in-flight snack.
