I have heard a rumor, and perhaps it is just a (sub)urban legend, that there is a very large snapping turtle that lives in Sewell Pond, a favorite local swimming hole. It has been described to me as being as large as a VW Beetle. Are these rumors true? Has anyone encountered said turtle and lived to tell the tale?
