Carols in the Square 2011. Despite the bitter cold hundreds of people filled Battersea Square on Tuesday 6 December for our third Carols in the Square event. The Mardi Brass Quintet accompanied the carol singing, and the lights of this year's magnificent tree were switched on by Wandsworth's mayor, Councillor Jane Cooper (pictured with Friends' chairman Ben Thomas). There was mulled wine and hot soup on offer, and the bars and restaurants did a roaring trade during the evening. For her great photographs.
