Katy's Blog: August 2009
http://kathrynwhite.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 09, 2009. Every time we turn around it feels like we're saying goodbye to someone else. Since Ryan extended in order for us to stay an extra year in Germany this year that's become even more of a problem. All of our friends that we arrived with are on their way to somewhere new. Zoo for a final visit (along with Kellie and MJ. The group of girls. Katy checking out a spider. The girls were pretty much inseparable. Katy and Luke checking out the zebras. The hands on bunny exhibit. We got eve...

Saturday, April 11, 2009. You'll have to excuse the tired, bleary, allergy eyes, but here's a first look at the haircut I gave Katy recently. It's very cute and much more fitting with her spunky glasses. Links to this post. Friday, April 10, 2009. Several weeks ago we had some professional photos taken as I really wanted a picture of us as a family. She did a great job with katy, but the ones of us as a family didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. Links to this post. Thursday, April 09, 2009. Katy LOVES ...

Katy's Blog: June 2009
http://kathrynwhite.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. One Saturday morning while Ryan was studying, we headed off with some of our new friends to visit the montgomery Zoo. More exciting than the zoo itself, to Katy at least, was the fact that we rented a stroller. We haven't used a stroller in well over a year (she wouldn't stay in them when she was smaller - so I got rid of them) so this was a novelty beyond compare. The crew of little girls. Mobbing poor little Addison for a hug. More hugs (Addison didn't feel well). Right down to ...

Katy's Blog: July 2009
http://kathrynwhite.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 31, 2009. Vienna, at last! We left Dad and Diana to their nap with a promise to meet up in a few hours for dinner. Vienna was instantly and stunningly beautiful. Unfortunately, the weather still wasn't perfect, but we stopped for a quick bite under a tree with a view of the National Library. In front of the National Library were the hansom cab drivers. Katy was absolutely fascinated. An old guard outpost. Ryan's trying to get her to look tough. The teddy bear kind of ruins the effect. After ...

Katy's Blog: March 2009
http://kathrynwhite.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 19, 2009. Quite a mouthful, eh? That landed us a trip into the land of having her eyes dilated. THAT I wasn't expecting. It's no fun helping to hold down your three year old and helping pull back her lower eyelid to have dilation chemicals put in her eyes. But, Katy was a champ and cried very little. The bad news was pretty bad. Katy is EXTREMELY far-sighted. She also has accommodative esotropia. Since nap time was well past by then, Katy donned her cool "glasses" (the plastic things they...

Katy's Blog: September 2009
http://kathrynwhite.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 30, 2009. I have no recollection as to why I took these pictures except that Katy was being silly. More than likely I was testing out my new camera (thes and all subsequent pictures are taken on it). It's a small point and shoot that can fit in my pocket. A definite "step back" compared to my nice camera, but I needed to downsize a bit. Plus, the new one is waterproof and shockproof. Links to this post. Tuesday, September 29, 2009. Links to this post. Saturday, December 26, 2009. Disney on our own! We were excited to have a girls day out on our own. Katy remembered the parade from the day before and wanted to go right there. We were in luck and arrived as it was in progress. This time Katy was much more willing to dance. And waiting some more. Finally we made it. She was giddy with excitement. A little bit of Disney loot later and all was right with the world. Links to this post. Friday, December 25, 2009. Disney, Day 2. I didn't get any good shots of...

Katy's Blog: October 2009
http://kathrynwhite.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 31, 2009. Since it's impossible for me to take a shot of us *while* we're swimming, this was the best I could do. A pre-swim photo shoot. Katy's really enjoying the water and I think she's ready for lessons. Hopefully soon. Links to this post. Friday, October 30, 2009. We spent most of our time engaged in Katy's favorite activity: bouncing on the trampoline. This is one of my favorite shots of her in a while. She's getting so big and it really shows here. Links to this post. I figured I...
