Saturday, 30 August 2014. While we were on holiday in the UK we visited Hatfield House Estate. And the outside. I love the rich red/brown colour of the bricks. The stable yard has recently been refurbished. I really like the inky blue paint that was used to stain the timber. It matches the blue/grey bricks used to create patterns in the facades (see above). Wednesday, 2 October 2013. It was heaving then too. When I worked in rue Montorgueil 20 years ago they repaved the road with white marble cobbles. As the years passed these blocks were quick to crack and break and I noticed that they have now been replaced with granite cobbles. The white marble blocks remain on the pavements. I was alone with no children tugging at my arm begging me to stop being weird. In contrast, some of the facades have been recently restored and look very crisp and clean. I Love Mad...

Thursday, 14 May 2015. Felice Varini at La Villette. This is the first one you see when you first enter the Paul-Delouvrier gallery. Fragmented. Blue picture frames. Fragmented.
