The effectiveness of the compression algorithm will vary based on the traffic being sent. Data that is already compressed such as iso and zip files will not benefit much from compression. On a corporate WAN most files being opened by users are not in a compressed format. No joke the Excel file was downloading at about 1.21MBps.
