Tuesday, 14 August 2012. He'll grow into it, OK? I didn't get Jack the bear outfit, but I did buy him the sweetest little cardigan in London, as well as a jacket for when he's older. Life of Owen: The Long Walk
http://lifeofowen.blogspot.com/2011/12/long-walk.html
Sunday, 11 December 2011. I hereby announce my intention to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail in 2008. I've got the time, I've got the money, and it's something I have always wanted to do. Man, I've got so much to do. All of the camping equipment I own isn't wildly inappropriate for this type of endeavor. I have a 4 person tent, and an army surplus sleeping bag. Those two things together weigh more than what I want my entire load to weigh, not counting food and water. Can I get a book out of this? Rim and ...

Life of Owen: Bleah
http://lifeofowen.blogspot.com/2012/07/bleah.html
Thursday, 12 July 2012. Sunny Saturday morning, and where am I? At home, at my desk, working on an assignment (two more weeks! And doing laundry. I need something to motivate me. A session on a patio with the papers and a big, frothy, frosty pint of Stella might spur me on, and bloating be damned. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Check out my friends. Method Into Maddness: August 2012
http://methodintomaddness.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 15 August 2012. They ain't the Ropers. I was just reading fellow basement-dweller/aspiring-above-ground renter Jamie's blog, and my curiousity was piqued by a reference he made to a property in the Yonge and St Clair area. He said it was owned by one of Toronto's "most notorious slumlord families". So, natch, I just had to use my librarian powers to find out who that was, because I don't want to be renting from them if I can help it. Tuesday, 14 August 2012. It's "for all intents and purposes"...

Life of Owen: August 2012

Wednesday, 15 August 2012. Actually it's a cat in the subway story. A cat on the subway tracks, to be specific. So there I am, Dupont subway station, 12.30 in the afternoon. On my way to Bloor Street to pick up some sickbed essentials (i.e. reading material, Perrier, and oranges) and be with the other humans for awhile, because it's lonely down here in the cellar with only the Brand Power lady for company. Is that a cat? He calls across to the workers on my side. Nobody else on either platform seems to n...

Method Into Maddness: January 2012
http://methodintomaddness.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 18 January 2012. A few weeks ago, the media was all abuzz over the creation of a "10 most wanted" Web site for criminals in Quebec. They talked about how it was based on a similar FBI Web site in the U.S., and how immediately after the site launched it was used to find and bust one of the perps. Behind it was a small red roadster, probably something Italian from the 1950s. Behind that was another roadster, then another. Apparently there was some kind of roadster rally going on. Not a racin...
