Kalan Bailey: Effective Media Advertising
http://bdckalanbailey.blogspot.com/2010/11/effective-media-advertising.html
Tuesday, 2 November 2010. As a group we came up with some conclusions to which ones are most effective. We found out that most people do not like Pop-ups as we associate them with virus' and bad websites. We usually don't like them as they distract us from what we were doing and we usually would just click off the box without taking in the actual advertisement. The Focus group itself was good but i think you would have to make sure you have checked the Demographics (social class, age, gender) because it ...

Thursday, 11 November 2010. Comparision of two blogs. Website 1: Style Rookie. Website 2: Diggy Simmons. There isn’t a homepage, instead you are welcomed with the first page of the blog. Starting with the latest posts. All blogs follow this style. Just like Style Rookie there isn’t a homepage. Instead it follows the conventions of a blog with the first thing being the latest post. Again just like Style Rookie the navigation is identical. There is a lot of content of this blog. One could argue that th...

Wednesday, 6 October 2010. Many websites are unreliable as a resource and offer false or irrelevant information and therefore are not suitable for use in secondary research. We have to make sure that the websites are relevant and factual and in order to do so we have to follow who, what, why and when. Friday, 17 September 2010. Interviews compared to questionares. The 1 on 1 interview can make people less open about the product they are talking about, however you are able to ask and expand on questions that you cannot on a questionare. however peoples reactions might be different depending on wheter they fill out a questionare or an interview. also when discussing an illegal topic on a one on one interview it might influence the person to lie about it instead. Posted by BDC Research. 1 How old are you?

Tim Field: Evaluation
http://bdctimfield.blogspot.com/2010/12/evaluation.html
Thursday, 16 December 2010. Overall, as my report demonstrates I have discovered a lot of interesting aspects of my topic which was internet and gaming. Most importantly I found that internet gaming is successful due to the interaction between human players in contrast to the single player experience competing against computer artificial intelligence. I then narrowed this down with more refined terms such as “how has the internet changed gaming”. During the course of my focus group, I observed the member...

Wednesday, 22 September 2010. Other forms of research. Test a theory to see if it is true)- Good: this type of research is a way to get first hand Primary research without going through a list of different sources to find some information. Bad- However the result of an experiment can be biased to the view of the person carrying out the test. People won't be in their natural environments and would give 'not normal' results. Analysis of the techniques used to persuade the audience; can tell us something ab...
