sonja in scotland!: October 2006
http://sonjainscotland.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
The exciting tales of sonja as she discovers what it means to be scottish. Yeah, i know it's been forever and a day. i'm now back at whitman, far, far away from st andy's and scotland. I didn't want to end on a depressing note, so i figured i'd write a little summary/update about what i did after spring break, with select photos. Really fun things (in semi-chronological order):. 3 hanging out with shelby and devin, who came for a visit - we went to edinburgh, hung out at st andy's and stayed up all night...

sonja in scotland!: the epic that was spring break: part 4 (aka meteora)
http://sonjainscotland.blogspot.com/2006/04/epic-that-was-spring-break-part-4-aka.html
The exciting tales of sonja as she discovers what it means to be scottish. The epic that was spring break: part 4 (aka meteora). Almost done - i swear! The train to meteora was stunning, as was meteora itself. hands down definitely worth all the hassle. Since we got there in the afternoon, we decided to hike up the trail and investigate, though we were fairly sure that the closest monasteries were closed. we hiked up this amazing path, walking in between the amazing rocks. This was part of the view:.

sonja in scotland!: the epic that was spring break: part 5 (the end. finally.)
http://sonjainscotland.blogspot.com/2006/04/epic-that-was-spring-break-part-5-end.html
The exciting tales of sonja as she discovers what it means to be scottish. The epic that was spring break: part 5 (the end. finally.). Ok, ok, ok. this is going to be short because it's beyond ridiculous that i'm still writing about spring break. After meteora, sara and i returned to a wonderful elinor-home-cooked meal. mmm, delicious. The piece on the far right is by far my favorite. isn't that the coolest? It reminds me of the chinese mask that's above the door in the kitchen! So we stopped. then s...

Sari's Travels: April 2006
http://sarifb.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Updates on my Semester in Santiago, Chile and my travels around South America! Sunday, April 16, 2006. I spent the night at Maxine and Carlos’s house. They live on the edge of Santiago in a really nice house with a cute garden in the back and grape vines one their patio. Carlos is an artist and has his paintings all over the house. It is hard to see in this picture, but this is a tower that prisoners were held in. This is one of the isolation chambers where they would keep prisoners. Also, you always say.

The exciting tales of sonja as she discovers what it means to be scottish. 3 day adventure in the highlands. Whew get ready for a long one. sonja in scotland!: February 2006
http://sonjainscotland.blogspot.com/2006_02_01_archive.html
The exciting tales of sonja as she discovers what it means to be scottish. Random (i think) interesting facts about scotland. So i've realized through talking to people that some things i've gotten used to around here are absurd from the american perspective. some of them have to do with st andy's, some are scotland and/or the UK in general.and they're not in any order at all. Mind you, the food is actually decent, it's the process that amuses me more than anything else. 6 the british olympic commentator...
