Adventures in the Harbor: July 2010
http://boatharbor.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Adventures in the Harbor. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. The Lost Art of Conversation. I was reading Anna Karenina. The other day, and came across a chapter where a character invites guests over for dinner. Offhand, that sounds like nothing special, but it was described so intentionally, that I couldn't get over it. In our day, things like this just don't happen. If you were to invite eight people over for dinner, who would it be? Another experience I had recently was a stop I had on the way back from a family ...

Mrs Beauregarde: But I can't have a blueberry as a daughter. How will she compete? Veruca Salt: You could put her in the county fair! If we'd let him, Gray would eat blueberries all day, every day! Links to this post. We started off the night right. a Cranberry PUMPKIN Apple snack! Then it was off to join the gang. We of course made a stop by the Gs and took a pic with Little Red Riding Hood, The Big Nice Wolf, The Tin Man, and Tinkerbell. Thanks Evans Clan for a super, second Halloween!

The Hokansons: life lessons
http://thehokies.blogspot.com/2012/03/life-lessons.html
Having a little boy has taught me many things. The love of all things with buttons to press. Faces don't need to be clean 24/7. How stopping and high-fiving every pole along the sidewalk is worth the time. That outside is THE place to be. One cannot own too many balls. That momma's hugs can make a world of difference. I love my little man and can't wait to see who he becomes as his personality and God's will unfolds. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 35/52) SCHOOL DAYS, SCHOOL DAYS.

G loves being read to and this one, Googlie Sea. Is one of his favorites. In fact I will do a whole post on it later. Taking in the view in my STROLLER. As long as we're moving, he's fine. Stop, and all is lost. With Dr. Lange. 20 lbs, 5 oz (47 %). 185 inches Head Circumference (91%). Praise Jesus, thank the Lord! And cry it out method) ;).

Even though they're awful, we love the Astros in the Hokanson household. I love the super cheap tickets, stadium nachos, and lack of traffic but Gray loves rooting for the "bayseball pawers". 65279;Here he is in September hanging out with Aunt Kim and enjoying some great seats. Links to this post. Easy as one, TWO, three. I can't believe our little guy is about to be TWO years old! It has both flown by and made for some of the longest days of my life. Height- -35.75 in. Days with Daddy are always messy and fun. Our little one and a half year old has recently discovered the joy of being wet outside in Houston's sweltering summers. Water and dirt mix to make this boy a hot mess. Who I love more than anything! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). 35/52) SCHOOL DAYS, SCHOOL DAYS. Southwood Learning Center- Kid Cake.

Adventures in the Harbor. Monday, August 15, 2011. It's interesting hearing everybody getting ready to go back to school. Even radio ads are targeting parents for school lunches and local charities are doing their school supply donation. At church on Sunday, we prayed for all the students who would be leaving for university for the first time. I was getting excited. but. wait. I've been in school since May! Where did summer go? In other new s, I am. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

I feel like so many of my posts contain the words Mr. Independent but that's my Gray. This week we have started independent eating with a spoon. Needless to say, he loves it. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as he enjoyed the yogurt. As you can see, I have my work cut out for me big time but I wouldn't trade it for anything! Links to this post. Gray's Day at the Park. Gray has quite a few books. and by "quite" I mean hundreds. We love to read in this family. Just like all of us, G has his favorites and one of those is Googlie Sea. It is the most ridiculous idea. Take pics of real animals and then put googlie eyes on them. therefore terrifying shark simply becomes a lovable goofball. Chris has voices for the different sea creatures and G just eats it up. It is in the Hokanson household! Links to this post. Sometimes it's ok to be a. Links to this post.

The Hokansons: easy as one, TWO, three
http://thehokies.blogspot.com/2012/10/easy-as-one-two-three.html
Easy as one, TWO, three. I can't believe our little guy is about to be TWO years old! It has both flown by and made for some of the longest days of my life. We are all about ONE thing at age TWO. THREE strikes and you guessed it. Gray probably spends about 80% of his day participating in sports related activities. Trust me, this crafty, TV watching, homebody of a momma was not ready for this outdoor loving child in constant movement. Height- -35.75 in. Hokanson Head Circumference- -19.76 in.
