The sweet, refreshing treat morphed into a sticky, concrete-staining puddle. Somehow the adventure-seeking, marshmallow-roasting days of summer have faded like smoke trails after Fourth of July fireworks. Rainbow bursts of color and light an instant image turned faint memory.
