Saturday, 1 August 2015. We woke ever so early this morning to continue our impromptu trip. I woke up as we were nearing the Fraser Valley and I was too excited to attempt sleep again. I love, after spending 8 hours in wall-to-wall mountain coming out all of a sudden into the valley! Everything is open and you take your first breath in of open fields and distant blue mountains. Then you exhale knowing home is but an hour away! We were sneaking up my back steps at 8 am! Not that that's out of my norm!

Sunday, 2 August 2015. It was far too warm to feel like doing much today. We went to church and I realized I recognize fewer and fewer people. The youth now were toddlers when we moved to BC and still seem as though they've just learned to form complete sentences. Hard to believe I was that young as a youth. I felt so grown up! We were all in need of a good Sunday nap. I always say Sabbath naps are blessed! After a classic Jensen family dinner we went for a walk at the dikes. Be still my beating heart!

Monday, 3 August 2015. On The Road Again. This weekend for some reason has seemed stretched out. Arland and I both agreed that we feel as though we'd spent a week in Maple Ridge. We left none too early and traveled all day through the mountains. There was so much wildlife on the way back. Although that didn't seem to be the thing that slowed us the most. Between all the weekenders in Jasper and down to one lane construction it took an hour to get through 5 km. But at least the view was good.

Thursday, 6 August 2015. It was our week again to attend to the community garden. I spent about an hour just weeding our plot of ground and got about 2 pounds worth of weeds! Before I had to go pick up Arland from school. We walked back to our garden to work with the remaining daylight. Neither of us had eaten dinner which became an apparent problem when I caught the boy attempting this. I didn't mind the balance exercise on the highest step of the ladder to 'get the ones way at the top'.
