You Can Go Home Again: November 2010
http://yesyoucangohomeagain.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
You Can Go Home Again. Saturday, November 27, 2010. Black Friday Shopping, Arnold style. We aren't much for Black Friday shopping. We like to sleep a little too much. Especially the day after we got up before the crack of dawn to make sure the 23 lb turkey made it into the oven in time. Here's our version of Black Friday shopping: Sleep until after 8. Have breakfast pancakes made from leftover mashed potatoes (yum! I've been looking for one of these: a large glass cannister with a wide mouth for my bread...

You Can Go Home Again: June 2011
http://yesyoucangohomeagain.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
You Can Go Home Again. Saturday, June 18, 2011. Dinner for this Father's Day Eve was chili/lime/cilantro shrimp skewers, crab-filled clamshells, roasted asparagus, insalata caprese, and yellow tail. Yum. This is most likely our Father's Day meal since tomorrow Chris will be doing, well, father things like taking Reid to a week long camp. I would have taken a picture of the deliciousness, but we were hungry and I would have been taking pictures of empty plates. Links to this post. Tuesday, June 7, 2011.

This (past! Friday - see I really am a little late - the room of the week was the Master Bedroom. So, I present to you, our new-old-in-progress master bedroom. You Can Go Home Again: Summertime Supper
http://yesyoucangohomeagain.blogspot.com/2011/07/summertime-supper.html
You Can Go Home Again. Monday, July 25, 2011. I decided to try this recipe for a Tomato Pie. In the new Southern Living magazine. I was amazed at how flavorful it is! I'm lousy at any kind of pie crust, so this one didn't look so great (might help if I had an actual lovely pie dish) but it was tasty. I did add a little sour cream to the cheese mixture - I'm not a big fan of mayo (What? And I call myself a Southerner? I think not. Also, fresh basil from our herb garden. My very, very favorite herb. Golden...

You Can Go Home Again: Veggies
http://yesyoucangohomeagain.blogspot.com/2011/07/veggies.html
You Can Go Home Again. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Why, yes, that IS a wheelbarrow full of corn and a watermelon sitting in my kitchen. Thanks to the Arnold 5, the corn has been shucked and de-silked and thanks to Mom and Dad Arnold is now cut, cooked, and tucked safely away in the freezer for some cool winter evenings. Watermelon has been sliced and eaten, although not by me (see previous post). Labels: garden veggies summer. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. At the Picket Fence.

You Can Go Home Again: Okra: The Misunderstood Vegetable
http://yesyoucangohomeagain.blogspot.com/2011/07/okra-misunderstood-vegetable.html
You Can Go Home Again. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Okra: The Misunderstood Vegetable. So then I had an okra epiphany. I had some fresh okra and tomatoes from the garden and was wondering what I could make and I happened to turn on Food Network. Who should I see but Paula Deen and one of her sons? I can never remember which son is which, but it was one of them. Guess what they were making? Paula Deen's Mama's Okra and Tomatoes. And I had all the ingredients - see, an epiphany! You Can Go Home Again: March 2011
http://yesyoucangohomeagain.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
You Can Go Home Again. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. All my posts are about Spring lately. I love this combination of white dogwoods and bright red azaleas. We have 2 dogwood trees, both surrounded by azaleas, in our front yard. As always when I see what's growing here, I wonder who planted them and how long ago. The outside of an historical home is often as interesting as the inside. Links to this post. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. With apologies to my friends in Montana and New York. Can you see them? You Can Go Home Again. Sunday, May 29, 2011. Maters Make Me Happy. See that tomato there in the back? The biggest one, the most orange, the first one to appear months ago? A bonus picture: the flowers from the last post, blooming nicely after the same high temps and rain. Memorial Day isn't until tomorrow, but summer is definitely here already! Links to this post.
