A couple of years ago, I was asked to substitute in the Sunbeam class at church for a couple of weeks. I love kids and looked forward to spending time with them. I prepared my lesson and made sure I used lots of stories and pictures to entertain approximately five 3 year olds. Beefche's Blogodaria: Practical joke at work

http://beefche-blogodaria.blogspot.com/2009/04/practical-joke-at-work.html

In the field of life, my own, personal cow patty to mark my place in the world. Tuesday, April 7, 2009. Practical joke at work. After reading my blog, you realize I love playing practical jokes. A couple of months ago, I was in our home office for my company to train new employees. Needless to say, New Girl was scared! She asked about the story portion and I just said that it was just a little something- embarrassing moment, favorite memory, just something to remember you. Ahh, she now knows me better.

Beefche's Blogodaria: April 2008

http://beefche-blogodaria.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

In the field of life, my own, personal cow patty to mark my place in the world. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Goin' on a mission! The former Communist country of my father's was opened for the Gospel! While standing there naked and dripping. I finally felt a cold breeze as the air conditioner began to blow. That made me realize that I was. Monday, April 28, 2008. I hate bugs. I don't mind them so much when I'm outside (except for bees. Shudder) just thinking about it makes me want to shriek. Just picture this...

Beefche's Blogodaria: General Conference

http://beefche-blogodaria.blogspot.com/2009/04/general-conference.html

In the field of life, my own, personal cow patty to mark my place in the world. Monday, April 6, 2009. I decided that I wanted to go to General Conference this year. I chose April because I always enjoy April conference more. I think it's because we get the stats of the church in April. It turns very cold and snowy on Saturday morning. I decided to wear my coat for that experience. This Conference has convinced me that I must go to the Temple more regularly. It is not something to do when I have time...

Beefche's Blogodaria: December 2008

http://beefche-blogodaria.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

In the field of life, my own, personal cow patty to mark my place in the world. Sunday, December 28, 2008. Happy Blah Blah to me. Today is my birthday. And it's a milestone birthday which means that it's depressing. Ok, not depths of despair depressing, but depressing in that I have to face reality that I'm getting older. Aren't I supposed to be wiser or something when I'm older? I certainly don't feel it. In fact, I was playing the game, "Are you smarter than a fifth grader? Thursday, December 11, 2008.

Bikers and Princesses: Another Hike

http://bikersandprincesses.blogspot.com/2010/04/another-hike.html

Saturday, April 3, 2010. My co-worker and I went up this other trail behind Weber State that was beautiful. Again - in the snow may not be the greatest idea. but it really was beautiful! I never know if I like photos edited or just the way God gave it to us! And yes, I fell in the water getting this picture. Just in case you may have been wondering :(. There were a few very old cars up there that had OBVIOUSLY been there for many many years. I thought it was amazing and had to photograph them!

Friday, February 26, 2010. Dallin has a little friend, James that has his birthday party at Surf N Swim every year. So we went again this year. The kids LOVE it! I wish we had more time to go swimming. They absolutely love it! Dallin was SOOOOO proud that he could put his face in the water. If only there were more hours in the day. I would love to put them in swim lessons. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. My Family and Friends. Girl in a Swirl. Book Club for Boys.

Bikers and Princesses: November 2010

http://bikersandprincesses.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 25, 2010. It's been a very long time since I have blogged! 11 months ago today was my last post! Things have been quite crazy. I have NOT been out with my camera nearly enough this year. But I am going to go back and back track a bit from what is in my photo files. I think this will be a totally sparse year. But anything you read for 2010 will be a new post :) Enjoy if you will. Don't if you don't :). PS since it's winter time once again. I am not going to change my header pics yet!

Bikers and Princesses: November 2009

http://bikersandprincesses.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Friday, November 27, 2009. From Blank to Stylish! There was a pre-lit tree at Lowe's in the Black Friday ad. So I put one aside for me to get after work was done. Tonight we broke open the tree! We got it put together, with the A, B and C in the correct order. It took a little work. but we did finally get it right. You would think a college educated Mom and a kindergartener could get the A, B and C in the right order the first time. Obviously not :(. The kids were in charge of the candy cane application.

Our Little Corner: February 2011

http://matisfamily.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 6, 2011. Becca's three white dresses.two down, one to go. February 9, 2003 - Becca was blessed. January 22, 2011 - Becca was baptized (in a white jumpsuit, not a dress, much to her chagrin). I can't express enough how much I love this little girl. When she was a baby I called her my angel. She changed my life in ways that I could have never imagined. She was an angel. She is an angel. She is a precious daughter of our Father in Heaven and I am so blessed to have her entrusted to my care.

http://matisfamily.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 15, 2013. In three weeks our family will be setting out on an adventure - living in Alaska for three years! We are excited about this opportunity and anxious to find ways to stay connected with family and friends while we are there. I have decided that this would be a good time to resurrect our family blog. I will do my best to keep the blog updated with all of our adventures! Fairbanks is also a gateway for trips further into the Interior and the Arctic. The. Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Wednesday, October 12, 2011. A Favorite Fall Recipe. I recently posted on Facebook that I had made pumpkin pancakes and apple cider syrup for breakfast and a few people expressed interest in the recipes. Here they are! They are not difficult and they are so yummy! 2 Tablespoons brown sugar. 1 Tablespoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon allspice (I don't always have this on hand and eliminate it). 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1/2 Cup canned pumpkin. 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil.

Our Little Corner: A Ray of Sunshine

http://matisfamily.blogspot.com/2013/11/a-ray-of-sunshine.html

Friday, November 22, 2013. A Ray of Sunshine. I've been too busy with other projects this week to continue my blog updates on our drive to Alaska, but I will get back to them very soon. In the meantime, I came across a little gem this morning that I want to share. For homework last night, Isak was typing something that he had written. When I got on the computer this morning, his document was still open. Here is what I found:. Praying that you find a ray of sunshine in your busy life today!

Our Little Corner: January 2012

http://matisfamily.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Some indications that my baby girl is growing up:. The need for more frequent showering. So many outgrown clothes. A definite opinion about what she wants to wear. A budding interest in boys. Periodic requests for a cell phone. Some indications that my big girl is still my baby:. Lots of snuggles and kisses at bedtime. Nine years has passed so quickly! Here are some of my favorite pix of Becca over the years:. 2 years old with Isak. 4 years old - at her first dance class.
