Inside a Student's Head. Saturday, December 1, 2007. Oh, and two more things. I woke up this morning to a centimeter of snow on the ground. I know, nothing for most people, but in Victoria this is a big deal. It's the first time I've seen snow on December 1st in at least 3 years! Aannndd. Sunday, May 25, 2008. Today val and I went up the lady slipper trail just up the mountain from our farm. You can see the farm from this view. There were lots of mushrooms and the flowers are just starting to bloom. This is the trailhead. And we made it to the top. It was a steep hike but it was worth it. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunday, September 7, 2008. Chinese Ovens/ Goat River Canyon. It has been a very busy summer on the farm and at work, but we finnally. Got a time to go look for another geocache. We have an apprentice geocacher. With us today we'll see how he does. His name is Brody, a 3 1/2 month old Lab cross. This is a view looking down the canyon. One of the chinese. Ovens No one seems to know if they are old indian. Pits or are from railroad construction chinese. Camps Any how they are interesting. It was a great day.

Monday, March 24, 2008. Swan lake lookout cache (Duck Lake). This cache is located north of where I live by Duck Lake. This is a wetland and has lots of birds and waterfowl. My wife and I do a lot of short day hikes in this area. The weather wasn't good but we still had a good day, and got lots of fresh brisk air. Swan lake lookout cache. My son-in-law Craig showin Val some birds. I think she sees them. Craig and Hanna were with us for the day. Like I said it was a cold brisk day. April 8, 2008 at 7:27 PM.

Monday, November 10, 2008. As some of you may have noticed I don't update my blog that often. Part of the reason. Is that I'm pretty busy, but also I'm not doing this as a competition. Val and I do geocaching. To go exploring and see new areas, whether. Its in our backyard or other places. Its been great we found a lot of cool places both from a historical and a natural point of view. I was a wet day but Brody enjoyed the walk about 4 miles. Of the lake from the tracks. Somebody was watching us.

Monday, October 13, 2008. Today Val and I went to twin peaks. They are a couple of granite outcrops on the flats. Brody and I start up the mound of Twin Peak 1. We found the cache. The cool thing about this place is that there are petroglyphs, so we went looking for them. These are the ones at Twin Peaks 1. The glyphs were on a big overhang that was almost like a cave. Inside a Student's Head. Friday, June 22, 2007. So stoked am I! Joel and I, with our two friends Kevin and Jeff, are heading out tonight and going surfing! I've been waiting for this day, well, since the last time we went surfing (in March.) We've booked a campsite at Long Beach Golf Course for Friday and Saturday night. The weather is suppose to rain the whole time, but that's okay, because rain usually equals waves, and we're in wetsuits anyways. Besides, it was snowing and hailing last time! Simple...
