http://bottlesofbarley.blogspot.com/2010/06/bottles-of-barley-reboot.html
Scribblings on Craft Beer (and beer at large). Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Bottles of Barley: The Reboot. It's time to reboot the blog! Not in a design sense (at least not yet) but in focus and content. I started this blog around the planning and chronicling of a beer trip to Belgium. That thrust kept things going for awhile. But that trip was almost two years ago and the blog has lost focus and steam. Big time. My other blog serves as therapy. Out of the Cellar. Once a month: These are the posts I love the ...

Scribblings on Craft Beer (and beer at large). Monday, June 7, 2010. Tasting Notes: Lancaster Milk Stout. Brewery: Lancaster Brewing Company. Date Poured: April 2010. Pours an opaque brown with hints of mahogany highlights about the edges, topped by a thin creamy (but persistent) brown head. Smells prominently of roasted barley with a milkiness (or lactose) providing the background for the mocha-like aroma. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Inventory of the Beer Cellar as of 6/6/2010. Brewery as well as to fill up my old Troeg's. They had brewed called Scratch Beer #3. It clocks in at 10% ABV. And showed it a bit in the taste but a very nice tripel. And looking to expand a bit...

Lupulin Junkie: September 2010
http://lupulinjunkie.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
A Hops overdosed, bleary-eyed gaze at the world of beer. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Sierra Nevada Tumbler - Seasonal Brown Ale From Our Friends in Chico. I knew nothing of styles. I didn't know how a certain beer was supposed to taste. What to expect when I drank it. Was it strong? Or a session beer? Was it supposed to finish dry? Why were Heineken and other green bottled beers skunky? The aroma was very, very, very enjoyable. Slightly sweet smelling, a bit of a hint of nut in there as well, and o...

http://perfectbeer.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Brewing the perfect beer. You mean I can do this for a living? Wednesday, December 30, 2009. A watched pot never boils. But if you turn your back it will always boil over! I brewed my American IPA yesterday out in the fridgid cold, and stepped inside to warm up a bit and had a boil over. It was so cold that the bolied over wort froze as soon as it hit the ground. Other than that, it was a succesful day. Other than that, my wife and I are getting ready to welcome our first child in March. I'm trying t...
