Beers Made By Walking (2012). The first Beers Made By Walking program was so inspiring that I decided to expand the program this year. To recap BMBW is a program that invites brewers to make beer inspired by nature hikes and urban walks. Each walk is different, each beer is a portrait of that landscape. The public hike through the Whychus Canyon Preserve with Deschutes Brewery. The beers were served at Belmont Station in Portland on October 22nd. The beers were:. We have been remiss in our blog posting. but thought we would make it up to you by sharing our photos from a hike on the Scout Camp Trail which is a three-mile loop into the Deschutes Canyon, dropping about 700 feet from the trailhead. Wychus Creek, which flows from the Three Sisters volcanoes, joins the Deschutes across the river from the trail. This hike was a put on by the Oregon Natural Desert Association ONDA.
