Adventures in Humility: October 2005
http://gaurasundara.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
News, Views, and Chews on spiritual issues. Thursday, October 27, 2005. Having downloaded an internet copy of Sri Jiva Gosvami's Krishna-sandarbha, I've skimmed across the first anuccheda or so without having time to read it carefully. As far as I can see, Sri Jiva begins by explaining the supremacy of 'Bhagavan'. I assume that later on he will argue that Krishna is identical with Bhagavan, and that this is the foundation for the GV doctrine of Krishna's supremacy. Posted by "Gaurasundara das" @ 02:36.

Adventures in Humility: September 2005
http://gaurasundara.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
News, Views, and Chews on spiritual issues. Wednesday, September 28, 2005. My friend Madhava has an excellent line in humour. I find a lot of his jokes and sarcasm extremely funny, and it often has me rolling in fits of laughter. Sometimes his jokes are way above my head and which I suppose only pundits can understand, which shows his level of knowledge. I checked their ID cards. There was a field right below "Nationality" for "Tattva", and it said "Vishnu" there. Posted by "Gaurasundara das" @ 04:02.

satya's wonderings: Women's Eyes
http://satyadevidasi.blogspot.com/2009/07/womens-eyes.html
I'm a curious person and I wonder a lot. I wonder about how things work. I wonder about myself and why I do the things I do. I wonder about other people and why they. Do the things they do. And then, of course, I wonder about Lord Krishna and why He. Does the things He does. It's a wonder-filled world in so many ways! Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Found some copied poetry in an old journal. Being verses translated from the Sanskrit. By Arthur William Ryder, 1910. You can read a copy of the original book here.

There was a tragic death at school, the funeral was today. I'll write some more about it later. Chandana festival, too cute!

I've never written about how much I like Second Life. We even had a kirtan. The Lotus Room has since disappeared due to the change in US...

News, Views, and Chews on spiritual issues. Monday, January 30, 2006. Gaudiya Discussions has now shut down, thanks to the sinister presence of very. Undesirable elements along with it's other running problems. Posted by "Gaurasundara das" @ 17:34. Saturday, January 07, 2006. I might read it sometime when I'm bored, but I'm afraid "I no feel da revolution vibe". I got turned off by all the discussion about sex and drugs, but I got mega-angry. Pete thinks that Sai Baba is some kind of god! The guy is obvi...

News, Views, and Chews on spiritual issues. Saturday, February 11, 2006. Some of you have been asking to see a picture of my guitar. It's an acoustic guitar, not an electric one. Here is a picture of it:. Posted by "Gaurasundara das" @ 03:44. Friday, February 10, 2006. One of my most favourite days of the year! I hadn't taken a few snaps before the pujari plonked an arati tray right next to me on top of the money box. I couldn't believe it! I couldn't believe my luck! This is what I call GRACE! You have ...

Adventures in Humility: November 2005
http://gaurasundara.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
News, Views, and Chews on spiritual issues. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. The Case of the 16,000 Wives. On another forum a discussion ensued about the nature of Krishna-lila, namely the lila describing Krishna's marriages to 16,108 damsels. Various points were made relating to the symbolic or literal nature of this lila, the former category of points making little sense. There were also some careless errors suggesting that the damsels were gopis. Why did Krishna leave Vraja? Where did He live then? To co...

Adventures in Humility: June 2006

News, Views, and Chews on spiritual issues. Friday, June 23, 2006. Chanting 64 Rounds a Day. My dear friend Sri Advaita dasji has recently posted his views on chanting 64 rounds. I must say that I agree in principle that the Gaudiya sadhakas must chant or aspire to chant 64 rounds of Sri Harinama per day, but I also acknowledge the reasons why it may be difficult to do so. Some time back I came across an interesting article. Which I think is more informative and enlightening. Other offences would also cr...

News, Views, and Chews on spiritual issues. Tuesday, August 30, 2005. Posted by "Gaurasundara das" @ 03:24. Hmm, a belated blogging, but here goes! All was great for Janmastami 2005! The only regret was that I was not able to serve to the fullness of my capacity due to a relative coming to stay during the period. I was only able to serve one day, but it was nice that it was the actual day (Friday) itself! This year Janmastami was celebrated at Bhaktivedanta Manor for three days continuously! I was at a g...
